I have been using my phone for three days, im still excited to touch, hold and use this unit. smiling all the time, knowing that my phone(DHD) is so good n brilliant.
my sis and wife got Iphone4 and bro Iphone 3gs, they're jealous coz they can tell how good my phone is.
yup battery my be an issu, but its not really that bad.If iphone battery life is 10, then DHD is 8.some people might care about this but i dont.
Picture quality may not be as great as iphone4,(again if iphone4 10, DHD 9)but then im not really fussy with this part coz i have point and shot camera.duh!
So only get this phone if you are a practical person, no time for bullshit. in short, this phone is NOT FOR PRETENDERS!!!!!

[deleted post]However the depth of blacks and the overall contrast falls obviously short of Super AMOLEDs and Retina displays. When you put the handset next to a phone using a superior display technology, it really does make a difference. The viewing angles are not that spectacular either.

Really an amazing experience. I have used both iPhone4 and would recommend desire hd. Undoubtedly the best smart phone available.

To the DHD owners:
I have had mine for a little while and I still have not figured out how to set an alarm that will ring even if the phone is turner off. Isn´t that possible? Do I need to download another app for that??
Also, I would like the birthday dates to show among my calendar appointments so that I can set a reminder but this does not seem to be doable unless this contact person is on Facebook...
Will appreciate any kind of help!

My upgrade was due and it was a c... morehmmm that's strange... my HDH's battery already adjusted after a week of use. The battery is more optimized now compare to the first time I used the phone. I had a lot of apps and I do use mobile data network and my battery can last for a day...
Did you get an Apps killer? your phone will struggle if you open all your applications...

My upgrade was due and it was a c... moreWell I get 1-1.5 days of usage which I believe is par for the course for a modern smart phone,& similar if not marginally better than my ex Samsung Galaxy S admittedly running 2.1.Even though you work in the phone industry,if you're only getting 12 hours who is the fool?Any smart phone battery will not last long if using wi-fi/3g heavily,that's the stark reality!
