Anon, 24 Nov 2010Lol at people implying you need to ''format'' the battery l2battery faggots these batter... morewait wait now I'm really confused, how come the guy at HTC said that to me also that I needed to format my battery first? Really dude, which is which?
0v0, 25 Nov 2010I think Desire Z is better .Why do you think this? If we talk about the screen, this has a bigger one. If we talk about Ram, this has more Ram. If we talk about CPU, this one has more CPU. The Desire Z is better in terms of QWERTY.
Had the phone for over a month now...sound quality from the speaker is rubbish...my 5800 was better. Battery life is not great for a heavy user, unless you carry your charger with you. The volume buttons are placed on the wrong side of the handset..because of the size of the phone you end up pressing the volume keys at the same time as the power key when u want to switch off screen.
But the UI is VERY VERY fast, as are games. the deep facebook intergration with everything is top class. You get used to the size of the screen and it's great! I don't regret getting this phone even if battery and sound are crap...will never go back to Symbian!
regarding the sound quality, is it really that bad!!!!
i mean when you receive a call you cant hear it clearly???
and how about listening to a music by head-phone, is it also bad??
waiting for your reply, so i can decide whether to buy this or not.
any news about htc hd3 when will be on the market?
anybody knows please I need a answer............
Lol at people implying you need to ''format'' the battery
these batteries don't have memory like the old ones, they're good to go from the start!
in this thread/ dumb people thinking they know more than others about batteries
Mobilemaster, 24 Nov 2010We are in 2010, and HTC has some GREAT Android phones available. What to expect next year? I ... moreI personally don't see purpose for that! to be honest, 4.3" is all ready to big for most people, 1ghz is fast, strong, what could you possible want more, and where to use that power, it would be waste! I thing, most likely, that these 1ghz processors will be only more and more powerful.. no need for 1.5 or dualcore. 12 mp cam could be, but I thing that their brain will come from ass to head and make 8mp cam a truly 8mp cam.. not just crazy increasing megapixels.. and that will also be more affordable weather you put 1.5ghz, 4.5" xvgasamoled bla bla screen and 12 mp cam! Thruly, no need. This phone is all ready faster then my Hp Pavilion Dv9000. Sad but True..

I suppose a 4.5 inch XGA Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone with 12 MP camera, 1.5 GHZ CPU or 1 GHZ Dual Core... What do you think guys? :D
[deleted post]Dude, relax, he is just ignorance, he ruined his battery, and thinks that battery is so wrong! He just don't know how to properly format battery:D
Ness, 24 Nov 2010I don't know why these "PEOPLE" keep complaining about Battery Life! there is NO BAT... moreWell yeah, I've wrote that a couple of times, but no body seem to read. I have done that, and my battery is awesome for this power and usage. The One who has problems with battery is just ignorance person (read stupid and have no life than coming here and bash) Proud owner of DHD!
I don't know why these "PEOPLE" keep complaining about Battery Life! there is NO BATTERY LIFE PROBLEM AT ALL with this phone!
First days I know it is so disturbing but you must FORMAT the battery NOT STARTING TO USE IT SINCE THE FIRST DAY! FAGOTS!
HOW TO: When u buy the phone, use it until the battery ALMOST dies! don't let it to DIE! and then charge for 10-12 hours! and then use it again ALMOST it dies, then charge again for about 10 hours and keep repeating this ONCE MORE (at total 3 times), and then U WILL HAVE a DECENT battery life, or I must say GREAT battery life for THIS KIND OF A PHONE, "HUGE SCREEN & MULTITASKING" ! your phone will last for 2 days with moderate use, and 1 day FULL with FULL USAGE of Wi-Fi, games, music, phone-calling, sms, etc.
Regards to all, Ness.
I don't know what you people are talking about.. I have DHD and my battery last two days with moderate use.. One day if I have wifi non stop going and playing games 3 hrs per day.. But, there is catch! you must format battery, that is very important! First three times was poor, one day with moderate use.. but after couple chargers it is quite ok, well, not good, but not that bat as some say!

The previous model had only a very limited amount of space within the Notes field in the contacts/address book...something like a 50 character limit. Playing around with this new model at a shop, I see that there is more space but no-one seems to know what the character limit is. This is important for me as I keep long notes about my clients and customers in the Notes field (currently I have the HTC S730). Does anyone know what the limits are?
**Also, can the phone's search function search for words within the notes field or within documents?
