smartphoner wannabe, 14 Nov 2010guys i'm pretty sure of the answer im gonna get but i need a subjective and convincing answer... moreHi!

Desire HD over Samsung Galaxy S- If you want a phone with a bigger screen, the Desire HD is for you.
If you want a phone with MORE Ram, the Desire HD is for you. If you want a better camera, the Desire HD is for you. If you want a great UI, the Desire HD is for you.

Samsung Galaxy S over Desire HD
If you want a very good screen, the Samsung Galaxy S is for you!

guys i'm pretty sure of the answer im gonna get
but i need a subjective and convincing answer

which on is better, HTC Desire HD or Samsung Galaxy S

the thing is GSMarena says they both sorta suck in audio reproduction, my main interest is in the multi-media

and i know S-amoled is better than S-lcd but how much better !!??

i've posted the same question on Galaxy S forum to compare notes

[deleted post]Be gone KID! Don't try to do anything bad here, just go to your forum and stay there. It;s useless, you can't bring the phone down, and I will try to bring your N8 DOWN, because that phone is a garbage!! Nokia is weak these days! HTC is the KING.

I have heard that their is a firmware update soon to up the fps to 30fps and also to make the sound better via speaker on phone and louder. Also the update will sort out the light changing so much when you are taking video.

Owner of this phone about a week. Good phone... Also user of SE X10 i.Using mobile phones over 12 years. Ergonomy-good,Internet-very good,Sound-very good over headphones using Dolby-mobile,camera good not like carl-zeiss on the N8,Screen-responsivnes excellent, pitty it's not SUPER AMOLED or RETINA but all and all good. In hands felling like a serious device not like toy, problem with design it's only with volume rokr and with power and screen button on the top of the phone they are to siff and you must trained your finger skills with them.Price-quality ratio:about 470euros on the post paid in Zagreb,Croatia, without post paid 650.Piece of advice, must buy a protection case, strongly suggested!!!My only complain to the htc. Why don't you put the leather case in package with this kind of machinery??? Potetential buyers don't be afraid, you will play with this gadget in months to come. And they will all release the next models of phones with 50mpx cameras with panavision or arriflex lenses, memory of 100 terabites, procesors of100ghz,OS android 10.0 and we will all live happily ever after.. God save us all ; )

Not even a word about the poor battery and most of it is just a description. I will keep on reading Engadget!!

Hi the sound is fine just go to settings then sound and crank up the volume to 100%. The volume is only set at about 1/4 way up by default. When set to 100% the sound is great. Cannot believe that no one has mentioned this.

I am very Very Very Very disapointing from HTC....
Even after approx. six months ahead of Samsung Galaxy S the HD still losses big time...
1-SLCD or LCD SUCKS!!!!!!!it can never beat even a
3.2inch Super Amoled.....
2-its approx same as to SGS.. but i think wouldnt it be better if HTC HD would have done something new.. i mean it has now MULTI TOUCH,,. but having LCD on it .. it dosnt matter. graphics dosnt look good at all... OMG... they should've put Atleast Amoled....
3- regarding the weight of HD wouldnt it be better if we just buy a TABLET... i mean its a lil difference. plus the prices are also very close !!!!
I am so very much disapointed in it.. i loved HTC sense but its true .. HTC hardware fails big time...
there slogan (quietly brilliant.... well u cant brag about this shit hardware)
i am a HTC DESIRE user... just because of its sucky GPU.. all the Emulators suck... it cant read 2 touch at the same time ...
with HD they (by the sake of GOD) acheived that part (only) but placed an LCD over it ... ahhhhhhh
it feels like they just took the hardware of HD2 and put android in it !! thats all.... (which makes sense)
htc (quitely lossing)
!!!!
no offence to any HTC lovers... i liked it also but i expected a hell of alot more from htc Desire HD !!!!

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2010I am very much Happy with specification but one Improtant thing is missing, which is Internal ... moreHi!

I agree with you, HTC don't have a phone(Android) with 16 Gb of internal storage. Maybe they will announce an Android with such a memory early next year. By the way the phone can support a 32 GB memory card. I think that this phone is worth the money! It is not perfect, there are NO perfect phones yet. You can compare the phone with other phones. You will see the difference for sure. HTC is the leader in terms of Ram, screen(I am not talking about the resolution, I am talking about the size). The HTC Sense UI is also great...
