As I see here, HTC fans/users are usually Grown-up people/Adults, because we know what to choose and what we want!
These days Nokia fans are usually Teenagers! maybe thats why N8 is so popular ...
Desire HD, so far as I think is the One and Only TRUE SMARTPHONE on the market, Forget the rest! :)

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2010How do you think now? I cant have my DHD on for long.. maby 6h with SMALL usage.. Can anyone h... morehuh? :s I get about 2 full days with SMALL use!
Erm what I did, which made a big difference was turn of internet (3g or wifi) if not using it. Uninstall any app killers - apparently it takes more power to close them and reopen them than it does if you leave them running in the background. To monitor my 3g internet usage (so I don't go over my 500mb/month allowance), I had an app that refreshed every 30 seconds - this killed the battery. Anything like that which refreshes very frequently, disable, or set it back so it refreshes after longer intervals ie emails - mines set to once a day casue im at work and use a computer so there aint a point in it refreshing when I can just check on the pc! Erm also account syncing can consume alot of battery so you may want to play around with syncing intervals. Also set screen brightness as automatic.
Got most of the tips online where the guy claimed he got battery usage to fall to about 1% an hour. I thought he was crazy at first, but then I did all the things I said above, and I was shocked - he wasn't crazy!
I charged my phone last night, took it off at 11pm n went sleep at 12. got up at 8:30 turned wi-fi on for an hour to sync facebook, weather, emails, played a bit of world war, turned off wifi at 9:30 and came to work. Since 9:30 been texting people and general phone usage (ano, not the most appropriate thing to do at work), but now, 14hours and a half after taking off charge, I have 76% left - not bad I think!

Bt the SE Ansu aka X12 specs are sure Oomph...!
[deleted post]U r talking the biggest load of rubbish, nokias r the worst phones ever!!! If u luk on Google and you type in HTC Desire HD vs Nokia N8 nearly every site even the large ones like techradar and pocketlint all say the Desire HD is better , nokia have the worst UI, bad quality,ugly.... The DHD has a 4.3inch screen,is one of the fastest mobile phones out their, has Android, sense, SLCD, aluminium unibody....N8 is just slow and thick

SE will announce the X12 phone very soon. Then we will see the whole specs. It is rumored to have 1.5 GHZ CPU, 512 Ram, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, XGA screen as I know. Full HD, 12 MP camera.

nothing official yet anyway.
[deleted post]If you think I said nothing, you must be blind you arrogant person.
Sure the specification is impressive, but how can you compare something that isn't released till "2011 Q1". If you base your purchasing on what you expect will come out in the future you will buy nothing. Sure it maybe a good future phone, but you can't denie this a great phone to possess now! And you can't seriously be suggesting SE is better than HTC? When it comes to build quality and UI, HTC wins, hands down.
[deleted post]You have no idea what you're on about .. anyone can make a phone that's better than a current one 4 months down the line. This is only of the BEST phones you can get now. When that device comes out, whats stopping you from saying "oh, if I wait another 4 months I can get this which is GOING to be better" - not better right now. And Sony Ericsson phones come and go - look at the X10, hardly anyone talks about it, but HTC devices live on (HD2, Desire etc).
Who's the "noob" now =)
I already have this phone about 3 weeks now and I love it!
The phone is super fast and almost lever shows any sign of lag. The Sense UI is very cool, no strange bugs or anything.
The only downside (as you all know) is the batterylife.
I'm quite a heavy user (wifi, games etc.) and my battery lasts about 10 hours.
