Hey everyone! I am checking every hour now n then for a review from gsm arena :( can't wait to buy this phone. I own nokia n900 for mailing n calling ; all for official purpose. Can desire HD will be able to replace my current phone? Can it take load of receiving/making many calls around the day? Considering office from 10am to 7pm.
Please do suggest me...
i love this phone . right now i have SE Xperia x2 , but desire hd is my future phone .
jafiso, 08 Nov 2010This is luxury advice and I don't understand why there is no case in the pack like HD2 for example?I emailed HTC that same question, they're response was: Yes the Desire HD is a luxury device but,you should check with the retailer as in box accessories differ from one region to another but MOST regions should have....
gsm arena,i loved your reviews on N8 ....please post another good review on this ....waiting for the review of this phone...hurry up !!!! cant wait !!!
Can anyone who owns the phone advise is there a mini HDMI connection on it so you can connect to a HD tv. Im aware you can connect it wirelessly to an internet enanbled tv or if you buy a wireless dongle, but I havent seen any mention of HDMI connectivity.
Also what are the quality of the headphones provided? Do they have a control to pause or move to next or previous track?
Real HD Display or Amoled Display=Equivalent to Apple 4 display
Internal 16 GB Storage
1500 mAh Battery
Would make this the best Smart-phone ever...!
This is luxury advice and I don't understand why there is no case in the pack like HD2 for example?

i am from croatia and we have it our stores so go to your mobile partner and ask.
ps. we have it in t-mobile.
I fancy getting this phone when im due an upgrade in January, but having watched a video on Youtube the owner stated the sound from the speaker was very tinny and low when watching videos or playing music via the speaker.
Can anyone who owns this phone please tell me if you can adjust the sound quality played through the speaker using equaliser settings, to improve ringtones and music quality through the speakers.
Thanks in advance
This phone most probably'll get android 2.3 aka Gingerbread update -which is on the market next week- in 2, 3 months later.
In that time, google'll announce android 3.0 and in my opinion this phone will NOT get 3.0 update.
Knowing this fact, I'm not into DHD. I postpone buying a smartphone 2-3 months when android 3.0 is on the market.
Would the navigation, locations, maps etc., that is, gps stuff work properly for India (South India, to be more accurate)? Searched Tomtom site and I didn't find them having map for India... maybe i was mistaken but anyone know about this ?
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2010I hate HTC all their phones are prone to issues & this phone is simply massive too uglyIt is ugly for you maybe. Many people like this phone, it's all about taste...
HTC is the best smart phone maker in the world in my opinion.
UPDATE to my earlier comment "bitchin phone" 2010-11-06 10:14
You can get Google Navigation in most (all) areas using the "Brut" maps/navigation application.
Amazing they still haven't sorted out Australia
