I was in dillema between Galaxy S and this phone but since there is no internal memory like galaxy and iphone :S I've chosen it to go for Galaxy S :) but i will try HTC next time when they have some bigger internal memories :S
Is this phone a big enough upgrade to be worth trading in my HTC HD2 for?? will the battery be worse? any people out there that have switched from there HD2 to this phone?? what did you find to be the case?? ya or na??
This is a God of all the phones...and it does everything a phone should have.
Nath, 08 Nov 2010I have a question for you!! how do you find your battery?? its the main thing im worried about!!ive heard it can go well under a day with heavy use.. it should get a little better when the battery is fully conditioned.. but like i said im a casual user.. it lasts me around a day and a half.. thats with playing games, downloading using wi fi, taking pics and vids..the usual stuff when ya first get a phone and always messing with it.. i havent tried any fps games which would prob use a lot more power.. but you can manually switch off mobile internet (which i couldnt do on my last phone)and wifi etc when not needed.. the phone out of the box just wants to eat data (everything syncing, facebook etc).. if social networking is your thing this is def the phone for you..its called friend stream ..updates everytime one of ya friends posts on facebook or twitter etc. i personally switch all these off until i require them.. so i cant say exactly how long it would last with everything on, i have seen larger capacity batteries for it on the net already.. all i can say is go in a store and play about with one.. not sure there are many smartphones with all the bells and whistles that would last more than a day anyway.. i was impressed that after booting the first time you can set up all ya google accounts and facebook etc, you also get a nice typing tutorial.. i found it tricky to text with it because its so sensitive but you can even calabirate(forgive the spelling)the keypad and it was loads better for me now..you cant alter the sensitivity but maybe mine was slightly out. cant wait till i can get swype on it.. there arent any instruction in the box but if you check out the adobe reader(preinstalled) theyve included 3 pdf files with all the manuals youll need. should also come with several books pre installed

had the phone about a week.. no hdmi connection on it..in box you get charger(one for the tech heads.. i love the look of it), 8gb samsung class 2 microsd card (preinstalled into phone), really nice set of head phones with a small control box on the lead (play/answer button, formard track, back track).. i love the phone.. the camera/camcorder isnt the best but does the job i require, if i want to take pics id buy a dedicated camera anyway.. the phone is super smooth and the screen is sooooo sensitive and responsive.. some people have said they've experienced lag at times on it but if you have "usb debugging" enabled supposed to fix it.. although i have had no such problems with it.. another problem i had was to link it to my windows 7 x64 pc, so a tip for anyone buying it is to disable the fast boot and restart the phone it should link up.. the fast boot takes literally 5 secs or so to start the phone!!(apart from the first time while it sets up your sim card etc).. awesome lol..the sim/memory card cover is a little flimsy and some people have a slight gap when closing it again.. ive fitted a gel back cover so no dust will get into it that anyway.. the handset is BIG but after a few minutes it feels great in your hand and the build quality (apart from sim cover) is second to none.. i read this forum regularly so if any more questions feel free to ask and ill answer them as best i can ( im no expert, just an everyday casual user)thanks hope this answers a few questions

Hey everyone! I am checking every hour now n then for a review from gsm arena :( can't wait to buy this phone. I own nokia n900 for mailing n calling ; all for official purpose. Can desire HD will be able to replace my current phone? Can it take load of receiving/making many calls around the day? Considering office from 10am to 7pm.
Please do suggest me...
i love this phone . right now i have SE Xperia x2 , but desire hd is my future phone .
jafiso, 08 Nov 2010This is luxury advice and I don't understand why there is no case in the pack like HD2 for example?I emailed HTC that same question, they're response was: Yes the Desire HD is a luxury device but,you should check with the retailer as in box accessories differ from one region to another but MOST regions should have....
gsm arena,i loved your reviews on N8 ....please post another good review on this ....waiting for the review of this phone...hurry up !!!! cant wait !!!
Can anyone who owns the phone advise is there a mini HDMI connection on it so you can connect to a HD tv. Im aware you can connect it wirelessly to an internet enanbled tv or if you buy a wireless dongle, but I havent seen any mention of HDMI connectivity.
Also what are the quality of the headphones provided? Do they have a control to pause or move to next or previous track?
Real HD Display or Amoled Display=Equivalent to Apple 4 display
Internal 16 GB Storage
1500 mAh Battery
Would make this the best Smart-phone ever...!
