Someone PLEASE, for the love of god tell me WHY, WHY, this phone isn't HSDPA+ with a ffc (front facing camera) and a dual core processor???
Can anyone digest the reasoning behind the makers of this phone that is literally the replacement of Nexus One to come out without those specs and features???
3G => HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps
acoording to HTC specifications:-
3G => HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps
I have the HD2 and it is the best device can make the human species, HTC Desire HD is the perfection of the universe.

I have the desire and in comparison to my HD2 the battery is not as good. I'd always choose SLCD over amoled for natter and better pixel distribution. google it!

stefanu12d, 19 Sep 2010in what way is better? because it has 8 mpx instead of 5? and has flash? and why do you put at... moreActually, Galaxy S is already too big for a pocket. So this being bigger than galaxy S doesn't make it any worser than Galaxy S, since both are not pocket-friendly in the first place.
And in which aspect is this not better than them? A bigger screen for better clarity, so you do not need to zoom in so much so often. Yes, that would mean you will not have clear screen, but it is not to the extend that it is unusable. It will not affect normal day to day usage at all. Retina display and Super AMOLED do make viewing nicer, but if you are not particular about it, they are just some novelties.
It has a much bigger RAM, which makes navigation much faster than iPhone 4 and Galaxy S.
It has a much better camera.
It has HTC Sense, arguably the best UI in the market.
It is made of one single aluminium, which makes it durable, and feels solid.

ewwwww... yuck.. no secondary camera? this isnt high end! even though they dont support video call it is necessary!
To all those who keeps complaining:
The screen: Everyone do knows that there is a lack of AMOLED screen in the market lately, so it is beyond HTC's control. HTC can't use a AMOLED for this device, it's understandable, so please stop bashing about this. Some sources say that the phone is using S-LCD screen, while GSM Arena is using normal TFT screen. We will have ti wait and see which sources are correct.
The battery: A new processor is being used here, and it is said that the processor eats up lesser energy than the one used on HD2 and Desire. So we shall wait and see before complaining.
Secondary camera: This is really a minus point for Desire HD. However, we need to think in the shoes of the designers. Could it possibly be because they want to balance the size of the phone? And adding a secondary camera will increase the size of the already very big device.
