Hi, does anybody have a problem with locations? Mine is saying "unable to install" "please redownload locations".... I can redownload till I'm blue in the face but does not want to get fixed. I did a hard reset, whatever helped. There is enough space for the downloads... but yay. I would very gladly except any help on this matter. please... ?

Today, i cannot update my HTC Desire HD to 2.3. I checked software information, it display 2.2. What is the reason???

Absolutely love the device. I am not going to compare this any other model. Each model has its own advantages and disadvantages. But to me this phone has been nothing but positive experience. Excellent call quality, screen size, good decent 2nd generation 1ghz processor and decent gpu adrenos 205 which is capable in handling most current games. Also faster with 768mb ram. One disadvantage is that its battery life is poor, which I am getting used to.
You will not go wrong in buying Desire HD/Desire S/Incredible S. They all have similar specs except front facing camera. Also my DHD has superlcd screen.

This is great with huge RAM and high processing power.
But the day I bought this phone I was not happy because
of buggy interface and abnormal thing that around 10 tasks opens automatically which eats my whole processing and battery power.But after upgrading to 2.3 OS , this phone now performing up to the mark.

DHD is too suck...!!!
it doesnt meant that i hate HTC or android...but DHD is really bad...
better go for HTC sensation ...sensation mybe better than iphone or samsung...price also just same for DHD n Sensation ....
hve used this fon b4...but just can last for than 2 weeks...too bored...
not meant to being rude..but thats my opinion..

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2011just bought as a replacement for my old nokia n95, big mistake as doesnt do anything to the st... morebecause you got used to nokia low end symbian os haha . . what on earth are you thinking buying this phone without knowing or even reading its reviews. its a cool phone you know though the android really are for geeks but you'll get used to it lol android is more on power rather than useability :D

While you're trying to pick it out of your pocket, it slider slides either way. That's why I hate default call screen. There are couple of caller screens available for download. Or, just use a screen cover, that will help.

just bought as a replacement for my old nokia n95, big mistake as doesnt do anything to the standard of the nokia, operation a complete mess, contacts are difficult to access and use, messaging not user friendly, think I will change for something different as totally unimpressed

Iphone 4 r greater than desire hd...just speaker n fast web browser r the only thing desire hd over iphone 4...desire hd video on lowlight condition is suck....!!!too bad movement...mybe they said like that cuz they hate IOS...nvm,i also love android too....but better go for galaxy s2...this fon is great better than any other smartphone...too expensive..??so u should go for galaxy s i9000...video recording r great on daylight also on lowlight...video player r awesome cuz it can play 720p mkv files (xvid/divx)...expensive screen(super amoled the brightest screen ever for this time)...slimmer than desire hd...n most important thing,.its also android OS...
yes,android now has overtake ios..but just for apps only...for 3D HD games..???just depend on gameloft n outsider website...also need to spend a dollar for one game...but iphone 4 all is free..just jailbreak your iphone 4(no money needed/DIY)...n u can have as mny application u want for free...good video n camera quality over than desire hd...mybe desire hd over iphone 4 with its speker cuz there's got a SRS enchancement n Dolby speaker...
so overall to me,
1.Galaxy S2
2.Xperia Arc
3.Iphone 4
nothing better than this 3 phone...tq

Actually i m really confused wheather to buy an apple iphone 4 or... morehaving used both - I would go with the htc! android is preferable to apple os and reception is also better on the htc. Battery life however is worse due to screen size, but you can buy high capacity spare.

Fantastic phone! Shame about the battery life. Moderate to heavy user having to re-charge three times a day and carry spare battery just in case...

Do NOT update to 2.3.3 Battery draining twice as fast, seen by many users. Don't even buy it with that upgrade... Wait for new releases (hope soon 2.3.4 will take care of problems) with less bugs...

I want to buy thi... moreyes it will work on it with no problem. the speed at which the phone read the card depends on what class of memory card you have ( as far as i know, they have class 2 up to class 10) the higher the class the faster the memory and the higher the price
