Anonymous, 12 Jun 2011If your eyes can handle it...set the brightness of your to the lowest settings. brightness is already set to 15-20%, and done all things that can save battery, but still battery is dying soon.
I upgraded to the HTC Desire S and took it back within a week to change back to an Iphone.
In my opinion, HTC & Android have tried to get on the boat when Apple first launched the Iphone, but they were late and missed it.
I dont regretmy decision of sending the phone back, and i wont be in a rush to take on another Andoid phone again in the future.
Got it last night. Great phone. Only problem is low battery life. Actually was intended to purchase HTC sensation, but the phone is too large, did not felt right on hand. Hope I have made the right choice.
Having a great time with my Desire S. Still discovering many things it can do. Plus feature is the secondary camera which ericsson arc/xperia doesn't have. Only problem is when I do video call I can't use the secondary camera so that my contact will see me on the other end. But I'm still looking for the solution...Haven't read the whole manual yet...
Well its been 17 days now since i own this device and my battery is crying hard, my display is taking 70-75% of battery, is that the same case with everybody else?

Ahmed, 08 Jun 2011To all those who did not buy the Desire S yet, I say, DO NOT BUY IT. Reason: -Battery life is... moreDear Ahmed, you must be unlucky... I have 2 Desire S (changed from Desire HD) and it's awesome. Battery life is much better so is the call quality... Overall same as D HD in smaller dimensions...
Why does Desire S score low in quadrant when the CPU and GPU of the phone are same as incredible S, xperia ARC and neo. HTC thunderbolt even reaches 1800 with the same chipset (CDMA version) .
Callum, 10 Jun 2011How to i change my APN so that my internet works?IF you enable mobile networks, from the quick setting. It automatically takes the settings from the mobile provider.

Ahmed, 08 Jun 2011To all those who did not buy the Desire S yet, I say, DO NOT BUY IT. Reason:
-Battery life is... moreIt has nothing to do with application compatiblity, it only depends on your carrier/country!
Also battery life depends on many things, mine lasts 5 days with light use.
Might wanna try to disable the Autosync and background data for superior batter life!
And shamefully, if skype is unavailabe in your country (like me :S ) just Google for "skype apk" and download the apk file and install it, and make sure to enable "unknown source" to be able to install non-market apps.
