AnonD-29259, 06 Nov 2011get a good emergency battery backup. several online for under 30 to 200, the large screen and ... moreGuys! Something strange happen last day. on 05.11.2011 just before midnight. I receive new OTA update, with the same number: 2.10.401.5 but after I install that update at first it seams that there's nothing new in that update. But after i try some benchmark tests, I found something interesting. First the quadrant app. I get 2140 benchmarks in that app. now much increase in Linpack the same 41 mflp. Also I didn't charge my phone until i install the update, and my battery is discharged only about 45% n'till then. Also the Rosie Launcher is much smoother. And the Hit was also in the Camera app. Now even in totally darkness I can get crystal clear shots of the object. And the video playback is much smoother now. I don't Know is it only me get this update or somebody else get it?

fdfid, 04 Nov 2011i am going to bye this phone on 7 nov,can u guys give me tipsmake sure its running android 2.3.5 my carrier sold me one i had to take back when i realized it wasn't even 2.2 (froyo) and my carrier still doesn't carry 2.3.5 yet but i loafed it anyway. also back up your phone right away. with the small internal memory you may wanna restore your phone after you pick your favorite programs. as i tried a bunch of different programs and rotated the ones i kept, others i deleted left errand participles of code that needed to be purged, clean install from backup to make the most of the internal memory
jacky, 04 Nov 2011is this phone can be use as a modem?yes the hardware and android os 2.3.5 allow wireless and usb tethering but your carrier may have charges for data some carriers will disable it and if you unlock your phone to use the feature your contract can be violated
i think xperia neo is better and cheaper than this phone..
vamsi, 05 Nov 2011should i wait for ics or go for it better wait for the official OTA update to reach ur country.

Reports from updated users (from UK) on the internet complaints that there is no POWER OFF option for the phone and so. Although some one found a work around to solve this, users replied that the solution does not work for ever.
I am actually considering to downgrade my current update (not 2.3.3) to initial release version because of the missed calls and delayed SMS problem.
Puleng, 01 Nov 2011How good is Desire S if one is internet orientated person? what about music quality? does it h... moreHaving had the phone for a while, I am pleased with the way it works. Browsing/searching the net is easy. Navigation is a breeze and text reflow makes things read-able. Flash is available on the phone so you dont miss out on anything. Speed- now that depends on your carrier/provider but the phone does support HSDPA if your Netop provides 3.5G. AS for the appointments, there are quite a few apps that you can download off the Market + the calendar functionality of the phone can be used to keep track of appointments(Like your outlook calendar).
