i sold this phone after 1 week after losing $150 to the mobile phone shop. The much acclaimed Dual Sim Card from HTC sucks. It freezes for more than 1 hour. I took out the battery, put it back again and do it over and over again after 1 hour then it starts to boot.
The sms (those contact names) that you have are missing from messages you received. It only show you mobile numbers not names who are your contacts.
When you wanted to search for a contact the whole phone freezes and hang..not sure is running on 1Ghz speed or 0.1Ghz speed
HTC always manufactured substandard products into the market.

3.Camera Image Quality Poor
4.Its Laggy (Slow)
5.Battery Life Very Poor
6.No Front Facing Camera
7.Sometimes Hang After Call
8.No Default Compass
I suggest Please Wait For "Galaxy S Duos" If Ur Buying Dual Sim Fone Dun buy HTC Im Fedup Of This Fone in Jus 1Month :( Samsung is Best in Android OS.Im Regreting This Choice Now Made A Big Mistake

2.Ph... moreAs for the network dropping problem, I read in some forums that hot swapping is not possible. If you do you'll have network "disappearings", anyway just take the battery out every time you insert any sim or replace it, particularly the 3G sim, that'll do the trick.
About the camera,well, as a matter of fact this isn't a real problem, this is a cellphone actually and especially dual sim don't excell in anything but giving you the dual connection feature.
Hot!?! phone volume!?! never heard about it, maybe it's yours having these problems.
Poor customer service? Ok, I agree, but tell me whose customer service isn't.
Summing all said up, this isn't a bad phone in the end, it needs just some software updates to iron out all these and other "problems", after all HTC is good at sorting these things out, at least so far.

i just read that there are some issues with desire v
neo v has almost the same specifications and also a good HD camera with front cam and android ICS

Some basic mobilephone users now entering into HTC world,they do not know how to use smartphone so they are facing lots of problems. Plz guys help them. Lol.

I bought HTC desire V just 3 weeks back.It has lot of issue.1.Network keep disappearing.
2.Phone will become very hot within 15 min.After 15 min you can use the phone as it is very hot.
3.Phone volume will be silent after attending any call.
4.Camera Quality is very bad.Its very pour.It seem to be VGA camera.
5.In addition to these,HTC Service center people will not even respond to you.Quality of service is very bad.
So I will suggest nothing is good in these HTC.Not phone and service.
It better not to buy any phone from HTC/
