That 256 MB make a Hell lot of Difference. If you don't need dual SIM functionality Go for Desire X

It does not have in-ear headset, It just has a pair of excellent quality regular headphones. But if regular headphones cause pain to your ears, then better buy another pair of compatible headset

I just ditched my HTC Salsa for the Desire X. Heres what i think
Build & Looks:
- Clean, uncluttered and minimalistic design. Looks great.
- Camera module is any eyesore.
- Rubberised back cover very comfortable to use. Doesnt pick up fingerprints but any kind of smudges are hard get off. Avoid using the phone with oily or dirty hands.
- Poor build quality, especially the back cover. I can find some gap between the camera module and the back cover. Very disappointing.
- Metallic trim in the front face looks cool.
- The volume and the lock buttons provide very little feedback and are of poor quality.
- The placement of the lock button is awkward. Not very convenient.
Screen:
- Simply fantastic. Much better than the specs suggest. Very crisp and vibrant. Sunlight visiblity good enough.
Performance:
- Performance is good enough for a mid-ranger. Can find some lag in scrollable widgets and long lists. Otherwise performs well.
- Have not installed many apps. Not sure about gaming performance.
Call quality:
- Top notch. No defects here.
- Loudspeaker not loud enough. Not advisable for noisy surroundings.
Battery Life:
- Lasts a day under moderate to heavy usage.
Well it seems like an all-round package at its price point. Could've been better built and included 720p video recording though.

My Desire X has the same thing where the volume buttons need a firm push to get the button presses to register. If you take the battery cover off, you will see that it is down to design.

Tis model has a manufacturing defect. The volume control button does not function properly. Personally check with many pieces (about 6 qty @ different stores) all have same issues.

AnonD-82829, 30 Nov 2012Which is better between Lg Optimus L7 and HTC Desire X, what should i choose? since lg l7 has great features like 4.3 ips display, 1 ghz single core processor, 512 mb ram, nfc, frontal camera, optimus 3.0 UI, premium device look, slim and comfortable in hands. over all users from all over world complaining about the performance of l7. which lags too much after 5 weeks normal usage. and even with the web browsing performance is jerks while scrolling and pinch to zoom.
BUT
HTC desire x has dual core 1ghz processor, 768 mb ram, 4" inch super lcd display...
over all the performance compare to the l7, htc desire X stands the top..
GAMING in l7 is little bit gives jerks and mildly heats up the phone's back cover while playing hd games. Because it has 4.3 inch screen which should be atleast adreno 225 instead of adreno 200 for better UI and gaming performance.
GAMING in htc desire X is flawless Because its build with 4' inch screen which suits and runs smoothly on adreno 203 GPU...
