Is there a difference between this phone and the T-Mobile G1? They look exactly the same to me but one's called the G1 and this is the Dream...
hey guys i got this phone so i will be able to check up some stocks on www.sgx.com but nt 2weeks ago this website start using java n i am unable to view the website any idea or suggestion on what to do?
i want 2 buy the phone but need 2 know if it can do internet banking as the last phone that i had 4 2days "x1"could not do that.i also would like more info on the android os as i have never head of it.
I've had this phone for a couple of months now and, after the cupcake upgrade, is very good. Battery has improved greatly (with 3g off and wifi on). I also have two iphone's 2g and 3g which I find to be a lot slower than the Dream. Market is great too.The feel is a bit bulky.. but you get used to it. Screen great, camera not bad.
Anonymous, 13 May 2009I am really interested in buying this phone but i want to know if the phone feels cheap in you... moreI bought this pgone on Ebay for around $170 US today. Can't wait to check it out. I am just going to keep it for a year or so and wait for windows 7 or another Google Phone.
In regards to phone operating systems. In two or three years Google Andriod OS could overtake both Iphone and Microsoft.
Jocker, 08 May 2009Does anybody know if the HTC Dream supports Microsoft ActiveSync ??? Will it work with Outlook ?all you have to do, is export you contacts from outlook, than import in you gmail account, where contacts are, then you will have all you contacts in you gphone. this is automatically sync, never will need to use you outlook again.

I am really interested in buying this phone but i want to know if the phone feels cheap in your hands... I don't mind the battery life cuz i charge my phone 2 times a day...but i just want to know the build puality
This phone is great, and not just because of the OS, but that's a large part of it. As a developer for the OS I find it perfect in every way. As for the phone itself, it does have pretty terrible battery life and feels pretty flimsy in your hand. I wouldn't want to drop it very much. It's also kind of big.
The battery life downside can be fixed by simply turning off the "Auto Sync" feature of the phone. If you need email notifications, use the Email software, and not the Gmail, you can configure it to check less frequently (auto sync syncs *everything* every 5 minutes, that's what kills your battery).

I love this phone it does ever you want it and u the. The battery does not last long when u use the phone if u go in it down to a 2 g network it save ur battery life a lot longer
Great phone! Love it but the battery sucks after charging it, i have to charge it two times daily on a basic function like sms, playing with the phone and surfing the net.. for about an hour the battery is half the capacity.. but over all performance is grat its like an iphone... 3d graphics is just awesome apps awsome but unlike iphone it doesnt have any virtual keyboard.. touch screen is great btw i have g1, iphone and pixon.. i used to have the xperia but the screen size is small and the edge of the screen on xperia make it difficult to use the touchscreen...
In short this phone rocks, not an iphone killer but an iphone competitor and it can compete with the cupertino's pride...
henry, 15 Apr 2009how long will the battery last as hours as u eat n sleep
Evidently the battery life depends on the usage, which makes sense.
Turning features off that you might not be needing, things that are by default running, turning down the screen brightness as it already is bright enough you can take steps to prolong the battery life for the day. you still are gonna end up charging at least once a day, say through the night, maybe give it some juice here and there if you have a charger for the car.
But if your constantly surfing the web, taking and responding to emails/IMs and making constant calls then you can expect the phone to drain rather quickly. Wonder when we'll start seeing newer batteries with amazingly long charge times.
i just bought this phone online so i wont get it until wed or thurs im gonna check it out see if i like it if i dont i have 14 days to return it i hope i like it it seems nice and cool i just hope i can do what i do on the regular pc becouse they told me its a mini laptop ok wish me luck.
what did you do on that 8 hour Stephan? if idle then the battery must be damaged.
Is this a new version of G1 or just the name different? any thing new on this Dream?
