I have had this phone for 2 years and it is an awesome phone. Mine is rooted now running Ice Cream Sandwich haha and its lovely. Never had problems with it GPS is great its fast can't ask for more..I'm up for upgrade but not convinced on the new Galaxy or iPhone just gonna wait for something even better for the holidays. Of course its not a good phone for new activation given the new phones that are out that have quad core processors and stuff but for me it has worked amazing. Even played 80 hours of Final Fantasy 7 on it with great graphics and no lag. The best phone I ever had and I'll pay tribute to it and honor it once I find a worthy upgrade lol

This phone has already stood as one of the best android phones of its time. Mine is still going strong after 2 years of heavy use. I switched out the battery at about 1.5 years with a high capacity. Now its got a bump in the back of it but just extended this phones life another year, and doubled its battery life, which was its strongest negative when it came out.
I haven't used Micro-hdmi port, I use the kickstand and bluetooth regularly, and I've tethered legally/illegally the entire time. Used the thing for internet for a month in new apartment when cable appointments cancelled (f**k comcast). I've had this thing out of the case about 80% of the time I've owned it. Alot of minor drops, and a handful of big ones. The removable battery popping out of the back seems to help negate the impact every time. Just pop the battery back in and put the back on. Extra battery is 10 dollars, microusb cable is damn near free, and a bigger sd card is 15 dollars.

One negative that will likely cause me to buy a new phone soon: Internal memory. This thing does not have alot, and more and more games and media are taking up too much space. I've needed to go in to remove apps regularly to get the ones I want on the play store. Another issue I have is the loudness of the phone, it just doesn't seem to be very loud. This hasn't been a problem for friends and family that have used it though, so maybe I've just ruined my ears somehow.

She thinks the phone is cap. Her contract expired and she's going back to an Iphone, stating that she also does not like the OS. I tried telling her that the new android os is better but after she tried this HTC EVO, she's just not in the market. This phone posed many problems for her and she's not technically challenged, the phone was just not a good model.

I'm currently on my 5th or 6th (7th possibly? i've lost count) Evo since 2010, and im probably gonna go talk to someone today about replacing this thing once again, or just swapping me out with something else. Long story short...the phone is ok, and if someone is thinking about getting it, i'd strongly suggest they shell out the extra few dollars a month for the insurance because they WILL need it.

I've had this phone since it first came out and it's been one of the best phones I've had no problems with it other then running out of battery power near the end of the day but I guess that's expected when having such a big bright display. I think it's time for an upgrade though. Looking into the Samsung Galaxy III or the new HTC evo 4g lite

It was nice for 2 years ago, but I've had a lot of problems with mine. Time for an upgrade. Sprint has been good about getting me replacements when they were unable to repair mine (on my 3rd or 4th one in 2 years). I'm sure there are several features of this phone that I never used, too.
