I came to know nexus one has issues with battery drainage. Kindly tell me if it is upgradable to gingerbread or not. And if yes then does this upgrade resolve battery drainage issues?

the power button, located at the top-left corner, works fine for me. Briefly press it to turn it on or put it to sleep. Press and hold it down will give you the option to turn it off. Hope this helps.
There is a problem i just found out and that is suppose Mr.X is talking to Mr.Y and I call Mr.X and I find no waiting displayed on my phone. Is it a common HTC problem?
ITs an excellent phone, but the issue with power button is totally stupid and makes your life miserable when hits (you cannot bring your phone out of sleep mode, cannot turn on/off without taking battery out ) . would have never spent this much money if knew the issue prior to purchase
I am very glad with HTC Nexus but the only problem is with its charge. The charge was 100% at 9am and now it is 5pm my charge is 30% left and havent used much. Can anyone please suggest me about the battery!!!!!!!!
Hello fellow nexus owners! 'Just swapped my nokia E72 for my first htc phone and I chose the nexus one. Even if it's a year older, definitely out-trumps the newer mid range phones like the samsung ace or se x8. Got gingerbread 2.3.4 within days after my purchase. Awesome! My only problem is I'm looking for a messaging app which is almost or similar to the nokia models I used to enjoy. I'm quite new to this message threading thing. Adding contacts after composing a text is kinda bugging me. Any suggestion or advice for my dilemma is very much appreciated.
feels great and looks great. i've now ditched the stock phone case and enjoy it w/o a case as it has a metal frame wrap around. gingerbread is fantastic
NI, 11 Jun 2011I didn't get gingerbread OTA update, how can I install it manually? Need a solution. Use the following link & follow the steps to upgrade to 2.3.4
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2011I dont why internet keeps on updating my weather and news i paid a huge sum on my internet providerSwitch off "automatic Updates" for programs that you can update manually when you have a free wi-fi connection available. As well, switch off the automatic data roaming. For udates to applications where Manual update is not an option, click on the "off peak" data download option. When you use wi-fi signal only ... switch off the "data enabled" in mobile networks option.
Anonymous, 07 Jun 2011OTA upgrade now available. SushilAn exellent phone. Much better than Desire [and even better than new Sensation] in the real world. I have 3 Nexus One phones and 2 new HTC Sensations and wherever the Senstion has no 3G or wi-fi signal, the Nexus is sailing without much hustle. All 5 phones are on Vodafone contract. Only problem I find now with Nexus is the OS is still stuck on Android 2.2.1, although that all 3 phones are set for automatic upgrades. I've tried to download the OTA upgrade from Google site, but although that I followed the instructions correctly .. i.e. copied the ompressed file to SD card and tried to recover the OS from the card ... the installation failed somewhere midway through.
