I just placed an order in Google Checkout for the Nexus One... Can't wait to have it!!!
This device is also complatible with TELUS and BELL HSPA networks in Canada
the vibration removed from my nexus one and i dont know why and i dont have vibration
any help plz
i've used this phone for about a month now and i think its one of the worst running phones ive tried before i didnt like one single feature about this phone other than its screen size and internet. i found the UI very frustrating and diffcult to understand.
Forgot to add number 6 to my list: Battery life. Why didn't they go Li-Po on this one?
And another camera shortcoming: dedicated camera buttons.
My complaints on this phone are
1) the speaker: terrible. Not loud and not all that great sounding at virtually any volume. On the headset, music quality is amazing.
2) Camera: Pic quality is bearable. They could have done a lot better. And the LED flash is a joke. There's also a long shutter lag.
3) Back Cover: It just doesn't sit perfectly flush on all sides. And this is after I got a second cover from HTC.
4) Touch input: there are times where the phone will goof up a bit and the touch interface screws up. Usually, I do a lock and unlock and it fixes the problem. This could be an OS stability issue. I am waiting till FroYo before I make judgements on this one.
5) Call reception/signal strength: The antenna is on the bottom. Cover the bottom half with your hand and reception drops. They should have stuck the antenna at the top.
All that said, for me it's a huge upgrade over my Nokia 5800. It's got tons of features I like, that vastly outweigh the negatives above. And have Google's cloud integrated and the promise of getting OS upgrades first are what keep me using this phone. Overall, it's decent.
souni, 28 Apr 2010I got the nexus one from maybe 3 weeks ago its very good and I always buy NOKIA but reason y I... moreGo to N8 if you want the camera. That's about the only reason to go back to Nokia. Otherwise, I really don't think that Symbian can compete with Android unless they put some serious effort on the cloud side.
To compete with Android, Symbian has to have a cloud service that provides amazing maps and turn-by-turn direction (okay they have that with Ovi Maps), which in turn has to be fully integrated with an internet search engine (Ovi can't do that), a decent web-based email service (Ovi is no match for GMail), news and weather widgets (can't compare to Google News) and of course fully integrated web search (again can't beat full integration with Google).
If you use a lot of Google's services, the Nexus One is by far the phone for you. Symbian would just be another layer between you and the services you use.
souni, 28 Apr 2010I got the nexus one from maybe 3 weeks ago its very good and I always buy NOKIA but reason y I... moreI would NEVER even ask you to think of going to Nokia N8, Has anyone ever properly checked the technical aspects of Google Nexus. It has SnoopDragon 1GHz processor. Its like the server model in the phone.
When other phones say they have 1 GHz processor, its just the normal processor, but Snoopdragon processor have Very very high performance, and so you cant compare other phones with this Giant performing processor that NEXUS has. I would say, NEXUS HAS TO BE THE BASIC NECESSITY FOR MANKIND BESIDES FOOD, CLOTHING AND SHELTER :)
ALI, 27 Apr 2010Is the AMOLED screen scratch resistant? Yes, the screen is scratch resistant. I have one and it dropped once hitting the screen against the floor, and there isn't any scratch as a result of that.
Can use nexus one to xsfer and recv note and image w Nokia n82 thr bt . Tat's good.
n900, 16 Apr 2010this phone is rubbish and google are probably recording everyones calls messages and sms, mms's. Its quite sad that jealousy is getting the better of you. Your comment wasn't constructive. You say its "rubbish" because you can feel a hole burning inside of you caused by yuor deep rooted envy.
You might say its a rubbish phone, but it is better than the N900. I can say this because I had a N900 before I got the Nexus One, and I'm glad I made the switch.
I got the nexus one from maybe 3 weeks ago its very good and I always buy NOKIA but reason y I got the nexus one is because I didn't find something very interesting in NOKIA so I got the HTC but now Nokia made the n8 and I think its very good. Should I get the Nokia n8 or stay with nexus one? Please tell me.
There is no secondary camera.. then how can make video calls.. HTC mobiles dont have secondary camera. its a main drawback.

"why do i have to touch the upper button to make the screen visible? Any... moreYou can make the trackball wake up the phone if you install CyanogenMod or the Modaco Custom ROM. I really prefer using the trackball over pushing the power button at the top. You still have to unlock the phone by sliding, so you don't end up with your phone doing random things all the time.
Also, trackball notifications are awesome. Make your trackball light up in any color based on what notification(s) you have waiting for you.
Anonymous, 23 Apr 2010this phone feels so sleek the edges are smooth. definately stands out from the crowd. It feels so solid and good in your hand too! Like a really light slim brick.
Important for people who are thinking of getting the nexus one :
