I really prefer using the trackball over pushing the power button at the top. You still have to unlock the phone by sliding, so you don't end up with your phone doing random things all the time.
Also, trackball notifications are awesome. Make your trackball light up in any color based on what notification(s) you have waiting for you.
Anonymous, 23 Apr 2010this phone feels so sleek the edges are smooth. definately stands out from the crowd. It feels so solid and good in your hand too! Like a really light slim brick.

Yes there is a really good reason for it...
when you put the phone in the grab or pocket, dont u touch the screen? rather, doesnt the trackball sometimes accidentally gets pressed inside ur pocket...
and the if you put the phone with multiple items in your pocket... the screen would be on 24/7 if it was switched on by any button...
and if they had made it that way... you'd be complainin even more...
superb phone :) lovin it :)) - except for speakers... they're not loud enuff...
but all in all (Y)

How's the Sense UI??
Bad phone experience, with following observations:
1)Battery life too less
2)Call voice quality not good with metallic noise
3)Phone gets heated up while charging and talking simultaneously
4)Phone memory is limited app 190 mb, if more applications required to be installed in SD Card, Phone is to be rooted.
5)Drains battery very fast with wifi use
6) QWERTY Keyboard is not impressive at all as compared to HD2.
Overall I would rate it an average phone 5/10 with quick response due 1Ghz processor.

I purchased Nexus One just at it's launch time while I was in USA. I stay in India. The phone is really fantastic. There are many hidden features but slowly slowly as and when you start using it more and more, manh of it's features which never expected, you come across and feels happy to have this phone. Eagerly awaiting of it's launch in India, so that I could use all it's features especiall 3G too. It's pretty good with easy to use with less going step by step to get certain items. I had earlier Apple i phone 3G. Finds this much easier and faster to use in comparison.Good

I bought the nexus one a few weeks ago and didn't regret it at all!! Then I rooted my phone to get the sense UI from the Desire. Overall It's the best phone ever! All of my friends who got IPhone got jealous and thinking of switching soon. You can't go wrong with an android- powered devices!!
ayenge, 19 Apr 2010i love this phone.but i need call recorder. please tell me. help me.you can use sound recorder to record calls....both near end and far end
I have a G1 and HERO, I love them. I lent my girlfriend the G1 for a week. She previously believed that she hated touch-screens, and has resisted her mobile operators encouragement to upgrade to an IPhone.
At the weekend, she went out and bought a Desrie, on Orange ( UK). I am blown away by it's speed. It is noticeably faster than the 600mhz IPhone 3GS, feels lighter, and with HTC Sense, is better laid out and more customisable. I think this is a game-changer.
The more I use, the more I find this phone way below my expectation and nothing compared to my iphone. Really regret buying this phone and will never recommend
