donnarose, 04 Jan 2011i just reflash the ROM into original factory settings so its in english now.but the problem no... moreby the way. most of the good stuff is not on the market place. Omarket, XDA and google search is a better way to find software for this phone.
when i was talking about the "Market". i was talking to someone that is using Android on this phone. and i was telling them to go to the "Android Market" to get Android software.
donnarose, 04 Jan 2011for your additional information,i was connected to the wifi just for a second and after that i... moreOk GPRS is a data connection using your SIM. That has nothing to do with Wi-Fi.
If you don’t have a data plan then you will get that error. (and there is a program called data controller you can install to override the auto switch and just keep GPRS off)
If you do have a data plan, you have the data setting on the wrong service provider.
To setup your WiFi go to settings>Wireless controls>and tap on the switch next to Wi-Fi (to turn it on) tap on the “word” Wi-Fi to go in the settings.
1. Wi-Fi is grayed out if you have the phone connected to the PC in sync mode.
2. if in wireless controls you see Data connection switch is on, turn it off. (that is for data on the SIM or to set your SIM provider)
3. Most people including my self find it best to install a program called Omarket and use it to find and download a program called “data controller” and use it to override the auto turn on of the GPRS.
4. when installing programs install them to your SD. The more space you leave free on internal memory the better the smoother the phone will run.
If you have questions about anything I said just ask.
Add there are some tweak you can do to your phone to help it stay problem free. Let me know if you want to do them.

JM, 03 Jan 2011Just a warning to potential buyers, and a quick feedback on my personnal experience. HTC HD2... moreMy HD2 is WORKING quite well... None Of the problems you speak about... I've had my HD2 now for over a year now... Right now I'm running Android as my main OS now... It runs very smooth on the HD2... Don't know what phone you have??? The HD2 is still one of the BEST phones out right now hands down............ You can do SO MUCH with this phone.... By the way I've downloaded alot of apps for this phone, including games.... Now I use Android on the HD2 now....
Anonymous, 04 Jan 2011I agree wholeheartedly. I have had SO many problems with this phone. Here are just a few- ... moreNEVER had any of the problems you're talking about... The HD2 works JUST FINE for me and others... Seems like you have a bad phone... Need to take back and exchange or send to HTC for repair... Had my HD2 now for over a year and WORKS great... Matter of fact I'm running Android 2.2 on it right now flawlessly I might add... Don't know what phone you have????
JM, 03 Jan 2011Just a warning to potential buyers, and a quick feedback on my personnal experience.
HTC HD2... moreI agree wholeheartedly. I have had SO many problems with this phone. Here are just a few-
-While on a phone call, the speaker will jump to loud speaker for a second or two without me even TOUCHING the screen (I never hold the phone directly to my ear in hopes to prevent this from happening)
-While on a phone call the phone would suddenly put itself into airplane mode, therefor ending the phone call.
-Handset would freeze, not turn on or off, couldn't unlock it - nothing.
-While typing messages, the keyboard would just stop working. Also put in words that I didn't write at all.
-Keyboard would not disapear even when I locked the phone - therefor stopping me from being able to unlock the phone. Had to do hard reset.
These are just a few of the issues, I work in a Mobile Department at work and so many people have come in with the same/similar issues.
Not only that, the phone itself can be confusing, laggy, and the battery life is horrible.
-all in all, I do warn people AGAINST this phone. If you want a HTC HD, go grab the HTD Desire HD. Much more user friendly, and prettier :)
