Anonymous, 21 Dec 2010what is the meaning or practically unlimited phone records?
please explainAll cell phones keep a log of incoming/outgoing/missed calls.
But some only keep a fixed amount or up to 30 days.
That is not the case with the HD2. it will keep the log until you delete it or you run out of storage space on the phone.
That why they can’t say unlimited, because at some point you will run out of storage space if you never clean up anything. So it is practically/almost unlimited.
what is the meaning or practically unlimited phone records?
Anthony, 20 Dec 2010Sorry
CAN talk to your phone
AND talk to your phone.
I've been using blackberry 9780 for about a month. Coming from 1ghz cpu & 4.3" screen to 625mhz & 2.4" screen seems really downgrade. But its pretty compact, fast and get this done. It's really weird in the beginning as everything is scattered & hidden deep inside menus…..got a while to get used to with. I feel I'm more productive with BB than hd2. Physical responsive keyboard (I can type an essay on this), Long battery life(2days heavy use) & Email(comes like sms)……nth can beat BB in this regard.
Negative side: small screen….not good for surfing. Built-quality is not like hd2…..its made up of all plastic and also not much customization like in hd2. I'm kinda tired of touch-screen phone and BB is the only decent phone you can get in non-touch screen.
Gingerbread suits to more non-Android Devices like HTC HD2....read more in http://techrings.blogspot.com/

Connect in sync mode so SSPL and talk to your phone from the PC. That’s it. You think it wants to send you an appointment or email? No outlook needed

The link I gave for 7zip only had 2 downloads one for a 64-bit PC the other for a 32-bit.
7 Zip is a decompression program just like “winzip” or “WinRAR”
Use whatever decompression program you feel comfortable with.
All you had to do was put the 2 needed files (RUU_signed.nbh & SSPL_RUU.exe) together in a new folder by them self and connect your phone in sync mode and run the SSPL_RUU.exe
How could you get that wrong?
Tell me step by step what you did till you got stuck.

It works by replacing your original SPL that does the digital signature check.
The most up-to-date HSPL right now is based on a version 2.08 SPL
The 3.14 ROM has a 3.04 SPL
So replacing it with HSPL would be making a backward step.
As you already have the most up-to-date ROM which has the most up-to-date Radio and SPL. All you really want to change is just the OS version to an English one.
For this you should use SSPL.
It is a SoftwareSPL that dose not install it’s self on your phone.
It remains on your PC and only temporally by passes your SPL to allow only an OS change.
It dose not change the radio or SPL to use the one from that ROM you downloaded.
Lucky for you, the OS is all you really need.
What is needed..
Use this S/N on HTC UK site HT9AZNW00968
7ZIP or any other decompression program.
How to do it…
Follow instructions under “How to use it:” on the SSPL web page
You will use “7zip” the extract the “RUU_signed.nbh” from the 3.14.405.2 ROM you downloaded.
Note: this is to be done from your PC, not the phone.

AASTMT, 19 Dec 2010i'm little bit confused i have been reading many reviews on htc hd2 some of this reviews says ... moreLet me see if I can clear up your confusion.
The HD2 falls under a group of devices called “Pocket PC”
It does not fall under the category of a “feature phone”
As a pocket PC, the OS it is running is a “Mobile” version of “Windows”
And here is where the different opinions about the phone comes
Give 2 people the same “net book” with a 1GHz CPU 512mb of RAM and 120gb hard drive
1 person will fill the hard drive with every piece of “free ware” they could fine till the hard drive had less than 50mb left on it free. They would not care if there “net book” had the hardware or drivers for all the freeware they installed. They would install it anyway. On top of that they would try to play a 3D graphic game on it.
The other person would only install what they needed. They would make sure there “net book” drivers were up to date and that the software that they install was made to run on a PC with there spec. They would leave free space on their C drive. And use a external drive to store data.
If you ask the 2 people what they think about the net book. One would say it is crap. it is always crashing. A PSP is better for 3D games and other things.
The other would say it’s good and because of it they don’t have to log around the 17” Alien Ware Laptop all the time.
Now think of the “Pocket PC” HD2 as that “Net book” the 2people had.
It has a 1GHz CPU, 448mb RAM and a 512 Hard Drive. It uses SD card as external storage. and its OS is “WINDOWS mobile”
Hope the comparison help you understand.
Which is better between Android and windows mobile, depends on what you need to use from a software phone of view. It’s like asking which is better between an Xbox 360 or PS3. They are both good on till you see a game you like that only comes on one of them.
One thing i noticed is everyday morning 6.45Am to 7 Am IST my Phone is becoming real slow...really funny i knw :)
Will stop every application through Task mngr and also will use Clean RAM Application, still it will be slow and will reboot finally, after tht everything comes normal :P
Dn u think its mysterious.:)
And also the PW change in FB account didt make any difference. Still i have that issue which i mentioned in my previous post.
And any clue hw can i get the region as India.
i'm little bit confused i have been reading many reviews on htc hd2 some of this reviews says that the device freeze every single min a some of it says it a super device so anyone have this device can help ? cause i want to buy one and another question windows mobile is better or android mobile
i love this phone, it's fantastic, but the camera? pfft come on, it's pretty useless
Well, I was about to buy an iPhone 4G and was waiting for that. Meantime I got a HTC HD2 and guess what, I would never be happy to use iPhone after using this device. It's been totally rocking. It helps me in various ways than a typical handset or the gorgeous iPhone. Beside every common functions, the main additional that it has is, it acts like a router itself. So, a device needing wi-fi to operate can get internet through this device which is amazing. The image quality is is great and the weather function is very very impressive one. The only lacking I feel is about the battery backup but keeping in mind that it has a wide display and huge animations, this is considerable. Any person would be happy to get this in hand just for its quality and features rather than an iPhone. Best of luck for the upcoming buyers. Enjoy !
