Found a cool app for Android called "Video Live Wallpaper"... It takes your movies and makes them live wallpapers (plays in background)... It doesn't drain any faster than reg live walls... It runs pretty nice on the HD2...
Give it try??? It's FREE....

Anthony, 26 Nov 2010If you want apps for 6.5 Go to the XDA webset or do a google search for what ever you are lo... morethank you. i need those info. am really having a hard time downloading apps because i dunno how to check if they are compatible with this phone in the first place. the last time i tried to download apps by trial and error, i got the virus pretending to be antivirus. hassle!

Go to the XDA webset
or do a google search for what ever you are looking for.
Put windows mobile and WVGA as part of your search.
Windows mobile dose not need an app store or market place to install apps, so apps are all over the internet.
If you like that app store kind of thing, google search for a program called Omarket and install it on your phone.
Programs in there are all free and made of windows mobile. ( not all for HD2 but all windows mobile, so you will have to do some reading.)
Note: the main installation format for windows mobile is .cab
You just copy them to the SD and click them from the files explorer on the phone to install, just like a program would install on a PC.

i... moreI’m only asking all the questions because I’m trying to see if there is a way to do a full conversion over, so future ROMs think you have a .405. phone.
Here is the list of 3.14.405.2 things you asked for that changed from 1.66
New SPL its version 3.04 now
New Radio 2.15.50.14 but you can get that in XDA to download for your 1.66.
New Protocol 15.42.50.11U
New message sent or not sent and retrying notification (looks like a sms but is not part of your conversation string…. I just love that)
No gray slider on dial pad… but you can turn that off with many tweaking software in 1.66.
On screen in call options changed. (not a big deal)
No need to install .net 3.5 (only advantage there for you is one less thing to install and take up ROM space.)
No need for any of the HTC hot fix files that are on the site now. (none of those problems are in 3.14)
New FM Radio… it is like the one you get with the HD mini
New Voice recorder… its like the one you get with the HD mini
And yes I’m from the same place as you so you can update you radio if you like.
Btw (if you drive) there is Garmin turn by turn navigation for us as well and it is sweet. (I’m using it on my HD2)

I would really like to know something. If I said you could upgrade to windows 7 but it would mean you could never go back to windows 6.5. Would you still want to do it? And what is the reasons of which ever answer you give?

I was cleaning some of my folders and minutes later all my contact list was gone. How will i retrieve the list? is there such a recycle bin for contact list?
secondly, is htc hd2 upgradeable to windows 7 or can be changed to android? your answers will be very much appreciated. thank you.

you flashed .405. using the leoimg method, to get its stock SPL? it not i will like to know how you did it.

So let me break it down.
You said you changed your ROM from .707. to .405.
In order to do that you had to get pass your SPL (that is what is doing the ID check.)
So ill ask again... did you change your SPL?

It came with a 1.66.707 rom from amazon SEA ROM but i hated it so i flashed an updated spl 1.66 and a 405 rom
i tried doing the update but i get invalid ID error so i decided to just flash another radio but how more improves is the 3.14 over the 1.66 ?
