Syrus, 16 Nov 2010Hey Anthony….speaking of Clove UK, I'm thinking of placing order for my blackberry 9780 which ... more1. Shipping options and cost are done in check out. So go see what your options are. (No need to sign up or complete the order) just put the phone in the cart, pick check out, then pick your country from the drop down. Then you will see what the shipping options and cost are in the next dropdown.
For my country it had DHL & International signed mail. I don’t trust my local postal service so you know what I went with.
2. All transactions are done in £.
Your credit card bank/company will do the conversion on the day that clove takes out the money (not clove). And clove only take there money when you sign for receiving the phone. So from the time you buy to the time they take the money it just stays pending. So the conversion you are talking about is not done on the day you buy, but on the day clove takes there money.
2.1. The conversion on the site is just a guide to give you a ball park idea of the cost.
Anthony, 16 Nov 2010LOL this is not and iphone, all models are very easy to hack by your self for free.

1)What kind of courier company(For regular shipment) Clove uses to send your stuffs?? The reason I asked this is ….if they send by Fedex or UPS….damn I gotta pay custom duty here. If they send by regular uk postal service or EMS…I can evade this custom. Do you remember when you got your hd2?
2)Another thing is all prices are quoted in GB Pounds. BB is quoted 335 pounds in their site and they have 2 small icons to change pounds into euro & dollar. When I press dollar sign…it comes up $628.23 which is not true. As of today's exchange rate it should be $532.94. Its little confusing. I'm just worried if they charge me 628dl instead of 532dl.
Marwa, 16 Nov 2010yes i know , specially that i'm gettin it from another country , i'll make sure it's unlocked ... moreLOL this is not and iphone, all models are very easy to hack by your self for free.
The reason I told you don’t buy it provider branded is because….
1. Unlike the iphone, different HD2’s come with different ROMs.
2. A HTC factory ROM is better than a Provider branded ROM any day of the week.
3. Phones with HTC roms get the most software support from HTC unlike the phones with provider ROMs.
4. Phones with HTC ROMs has the lest amount of limitations.
5. Phones with HTC ROMs are the EASIST to get modifications for.
6. Phones with HTC ROMs are not locked to a provider.
7. And now that I know you are not buying from your home country, a new phone with a HTC ROM will entitle you to a world wide warranty. (not so with the provider phones)
8. If you want a HD2 with an English language OS, I recommend the UK factory unlocked version. It has the latest ROM update on the HTC site (version 3.14)
9. The version of the phone you get is important because all versions of the HD2 are not entitled to the same “official” updates.
I recommend www.clove.co.uk to buy it from if you want the UK factory unlocked version. They dial with international customers and are official HTC recognized retailers. I have gotten 4 HD2’s and 2 HD’s from there with no problems.
Don’t let the #’s worry you. Was buying on behalf of my wife and friends. Only 1 HD and HD2 were for my use.
And I did mash one of the HD2’s and craked the TFT display (not the glass) but I got that display replace for free under the international warranty. (But I sold that one because I had already ordered a new one, before I called to find out about the warranty). Just like you, I don’t live in the UK, so I did not have to pay the vat price on the site. I paid the none vat price.
Let the FUN begin....... Looks like nVidia Tegra 2 dual core phones will be out in early 2011 (just a few short months).... One phone coming is the LG Star w/nVidia Tegra 2 chip.... It's said the phone will be an Android version with full 1080p decoding and filming... Also phone is said to have front video camera, and SD Card slot (hopefully the new SD Cards with more storage capcity).... These specs looks good.................. Now I can put my Blu-ray laptop to work on recording 1080p movies for my phone????????????
Anthony, 16 Nov 2010if you are going to buy this phone, try not to buy it provider branded. alot less stress that way.yes i know , specially that i'm gettin it from another country , i'll make sure it's unlocked or jailbroke or something like that =D

it depends on your choice for me Hd2 is far better than 3gs in every aspect.and when you asking about apps you can run both OS in HD2 windows and android so you can have thousands of apps.
Syrus, 15 Nov 2010Surprised to see you trying android on your HD2. If you think your next phone will be android ... moreI'm all about getting the most for your money.
All before I never put Android on my HD2 because it ment I had to install a cooked WM ROM to get it working. but now I'm using my stock 3.14 ROM customized my way and a updated Android ROM, so I lost nothing in functionality. WM is still #1 for me from a work point of view. But now that skyfire no longer works in WM. Android has picked up the slack for online video. and is a nice software addition to my HD2 hardware. Android on the HD2 is a functionality add-on for me, not a OS replacement.
Jack, 15 Nov 2010I both agry and not,Android on Hd2 runs as smooth and full functional as on any dedicated Andr... moreYou're not the only one who still likes WM... I still prefer WM, but since they changed everything with WP7; I'll have to wait and see how WP7 matures... I don't like the look of WP7 or the restrictions by Microsoft (locking it down like Apple)... Android still gives you the ability to setup your phone how you like...
Syrus, 15 Nov 2010I ain't saying anything bad about hd2. I'm just talking about android dual boot. By the way, w... moreI bought WM becasue it's still the best OS out there (more mature and stable)... The HD2 gives me the option to do whatever I want with the HD2... Why buy an Android phone when the HD2 lets me do the same as Android (can load Android apps, etc.)... Buying an Android only phones limits my options... WM is the only OS I know of that lets you dual boot your phone... Besides the phone doesn't make the OS, the OS makes the phone... So when I bootup the Android OS on my HD2, I now have an Android phone....
hi everyone =) i have 1 annoying question ,
i loooooooooove HD2's specs , but i'm not sure it has so many apps as iphone 3gs =( , so what should i get ???
it feels like iphone is OVERRATED, but i'm afraid to take the risk of swimming against the stream =)
Syrus, 15 Nov 2010Surprised to see you trying android on your HD2. If you think your next phone will be android ... moreSyrus , If u want to use Android on the HD2 the most important things is Combination with ROM,Leo Radio and Android Builds (somehow u had to learn and had fun with it) . I using Android build on my HD2 about 4 month for daily basic use! got no problem with it ! so i don't agreed with your opinion..

I'm just talking about android dual boot. By the way, what OS do you use in the morning time???.........(winmob in daytime & android in nighttime lol). I think you are out of mind…..why did you buy win mob in the first place if you want to make android as your primary OS?
PS: As you know I am former hd2 user…..i sold it and waiting for my BB bold9780 to arrive. No offense!

my son runs Mdeejay froyo Sense on daily bases
on his HD2 while on mine I have tried it but couldnt get along with its UI logic.may be Im one of those few left who preffers theWM!!.
Syrus, 15 Nov 2010Surprised to see you trying android on your HD2. If you think your next phone will be android ... moreYou're out of your mind... Don't hate on the HD2, because after a year it's still one of the BEST out there... I use both WM and Android on a daily basis (WM during the day and Android at night. Only reason I use WM in the day is because of the Office app I have on it: Softmaker)... Android on the HD2 gives you the same feel if you purchased an Android unit... If you did that you cannot multi boot like the HD2 can... Your statement is pointless... Many HD2 owners use Android on there HD2 as the primary daily OS... If I didn't need to use Softmaker, I would do the same........
By the way... What phone do you use????????????????
Anthony, 15 Nov 2010Are you using the version of Android High Tech recommended? It takes me only 2min to boot into... moreSurprised to see you trying android on your HD2. If you think your next phone will be android then its worth trying. Otherwise, its all bullshiit crap. Believe me on this. I did try and removed it in a week. There's no way you gonna get the real feeling of android on HD2. If you really like android …just simply buy android handset.
Dual booting is sth I find not practical even on computer …..forget on cell phone. In the end you simply end up using one OS (probably win mob) for everyday use …so why u wanna keep this android crap on your phone…..messed up everything.
