I'm betting the space you left is so small that when your phone tries to restore files/drivers when you press to wake it out of sleep, it just can't do it.
(or maybe you are using cookie home tab lock screen, which has a waking problem for me so I don't use it.)

To be honest i dont like full touchscreens due just cannot handle them typing and other usage in real life..I do like windows mobile and never hated it..This handset just passed me by but have read so much in reviews and this months smartfone essentials mag to come and have a look. Its last time i buy that mag its turning into guess what??? a flipping i-phone mag,as if whsmith is full of it iphone crud..
Anyhow i cannot believe how many times ive seen this in carfone and just ignored it..
My first windows was spv then spv e100 and up to spv c500 and so on thru xperia and touch/touch pro..I then returned to my naitive nokia/symbian..NOW am going to source this second hand to try it out,,apparently even tho ive just come on here folk are on about porting Android and so on.I will start to read over gsm opinions and find out more before asking questions its only fair..

2. If that is not your problem and you are connected already but your SIM is also connected at the same time. You can install a program called “Data Controller” which will let you disable different parts of your SIM data plan when ever you need with the use of switches.
Install Omarket and use that program to find “Data Controller”
Note: by default Wi-Fi goes to sleep when ever the phone goes to sleep but you can turn that off with a program called “XT Hack Beta2” which can also be found with Omarket. (Turning off Wi-Fi sleep will drain your battery faster.)
