About a week ago I had posted a hep request on a weird experience I was having on my HD2 running Android (shubCRAFT versions). The issue was:
- GPRS: I can connect and use the internet
- WIFI: I can connect (I see the connection sign on the phone) but unable to use any internet dependent application.
Meanwhile, I have never had this kind of problem either running WM Roms or other ported Android editions for HD2.
I refused to give up.
Well surprisingly my problem was just always with me right there in the house - the WIRELESS ROUTER. I use NETGEAR wireless router.
So making some googling I came up with an idea to login to my router configuration and checkout my setting. I simply changed the MODE Setting from B&G to AUTO. And there you have it! Problem solved.
I now use the internet excellently on my HD2 running any shubCRAFT Android version.
Thought I should post this too...... in case someone else experiences it.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2010This phone is awful - DO NOT purchase it.
I had an iPhone 3GS before I purchased this phone... moreHey man, just look, this phone is very good, don't try to compare it to the iPhone 3GS, it's not serious from you from my point of an HTC HD2 Owner, just look here ... these 2 videos will say everything about these 2 phones (HTC HD2 vs iPhone 3GS) .. just look:

DISGUSTED BITCH, 22 Aug 2010major problems: the worst invention so far by htc 1. the phone heats up in my bag for no... moreLOOOOL !! I don't know what's with you man, but I think you're totally uncorrectly ! I have the HD2 bought about 3 weeks ago from Craiglist, it's a used HD2, it was used for 2 weeks, then I bought it with 290$... Oh Man, believe it or not, I'm very very happy with this phone, it's amazing, it has alot of cool features and alot of cool stuff on it, it's very cool to have such a PocketPC in your Pocket, Wi-Fi, Internet Browsing, all on the move.. and by the way, the battery life is very very good for such a large phone, I don't know why you don't like it, believe me if you charged this phone up to 100%, you can just stay with let's say 5 apps opened at the same time, + even if you stay on Wi-Fi and Browse the Internet, the phone with all that will support up to somewhere 6 hours of Internet Browsing via Wi-Fi + 5 apps opened + connected to 3G Network, so believe me, this phone ROCKS !

Mark, 10 Aug 2010I'm taking my UK HD2 on hols to Spain next week (I'd be insane to leave it behind, eh?) and wo... moreHave just got back from a week's hols on the continent where I managed to save at least £40 using a combo of Manilla Dial-up Enabler/Disabler and SPB Wireless Monitor & Pop-Up to avoid "roaming" charges - both apps are free to download on Omarket and/or XDA Developers, so I would deffo recommend them to other HD2 owners
