Hi every one, Hi Anthony,
I finally bought a new HD2 yesterday; I hope you guys can help me check what updates I need to have for my device.
These are the software information of the device:
1.43.488.1 (70124) WWE
Do I need to upgrade the ROM or not especially that the ROM date is too old ?
I already entered the S/N in the “ROM Upgrade for HTC HD2” site
I had the following message “Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device”
Thanx in advance
Anthony, 11 Aug 2010If your office uses outlook, exchange server. Then the HD2 is the way to go. If you don't use ... moreAnthony, Many Thanks for your reply. It is not games I want as it is a business phone and I have an I Touch at home. Would you say the keypad is OK on the HD2 cos I used to have a Touch HD and the keypad was small to send messages. Is this the same??? Thanks
People are so shallow these days. They hold the phone, press here and there and quickly jump to the conclusion: it is too large, it has Windows Mobile, therefore it is crap. I personally love my HD2. It is the best phone I ever had. For the Android fanboys, it can run Android and with the help of the community it will do it better than Desire or any other phone that comes with stock Android. For the iPhone fanboys, start thinking out of the box. iPhones are not the best phones on the market. Up until now I had only Nokia phones and I used them to the fullest of their capacity, but sadly Nokia is losing ground fast. After flashing a custom ROM and installing a few other free applications, HD2 is showing its true power. If you want to use a phone out of the box, then get a cheap phone that lasts for 1 week. Even iPhone users jailbreak their phones to exploit the full potential of their phones. Stop making rushed comments and think a little.

Samsung ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor vs Snapdragon 1ghz
Cortex seems to be faster & energy efficient. One thing I do not understand about samsung....they got everything from super amoled screen to powerful processor. In other words, they manufacture every mobile phone components. Even apple buy its all electronic stuffs from them. Due to short supply of amoled screen...htc is putting super lcd in upcoming desire & nexus phones.
But when comes to sammy phones....they are simply not up to mark or as compelling as htc & apple phones. They always make crappy phones ...i mean hardware-wise. Look at Galaxy S....specs is really great but when u look this phone in real...it just looks cheap & plasticy. If they were to come up with some good design & good built-quality like htc.....i think this will make huge difference for samsung in terms of market share of smartphones. They got everything what it takes to and still struggling.
Its just my 2 cents on samsung. I love galaxy S but again it simply looks cheap.

I'm taking my UK HD2 on hols to Spain next week (I'd be insane to leave it behind, eh?) and wondered what app other users would recommend to save me £££ on roaming data charges when abroad.
I have seen that MoDaCo NoData comes recommended, as does this Manilla Dial-Up Enabler/Disabler:
What app do my fellow HD2 owners recommend I download for such a purpose?
Tricky, 10 Aug 2010Hi, I am trying to decide between this device (HD2) and the Wildfire.
any suggestions????You should decide between the HD2 and the Desire not the wildfire
Look at the RAM and CPU, both are very important to smooth running.
Wildfire is more of a match to the HD mini
AXN, 10 Aug 2010hi, does opera 10 support youtube video? is their any web browser support adobe flash for HD2?... moreThere is only one really good browser for windows mobile, it supports flash and java.
Its call “skyfire”.
The bad new is, it is no longer available for use in all regions. Skyfire said they did this to better support there paying customers.
If you buy the HTC unlocked version of the phone it will come with a Youtube player which will let you watch your youtube videos but that will not help you with other flash sites.
So if flash for all web sites is the most important feature to you, find out if skyfire works in your region. And if it does not, DON’T BUY THIS PHONE.
Hi, I am trying to decide between this device (HD2) and the Wildfire.
