I haven't had to reset my device, unless I install software that's not comp for the ROM. I'm using a cust ROM and it works GREAT (no freezes and fast).. My sms works great as well. Maybe you need to install a cust ROM or check your apps you have installed.....
This is the worst phone I have ever owned, seriously. i was so excited when i first got it, but quickly became disappointed when i noticed how much the phone freezes, i have to turn the phone off & take the battery out at least once a day. Every time i receive a text message...the phone completely freezes & it takes forever to actually get to where i can read the text. i have done several hard resets & a software upgrade & it still has problems.
Attention HD2 owners: Don't ever try to install SWYPE on your hd2. This is the main cause of crashing & freezing problem. It also screws up Data Connection. I'm telling this from my experience & experiment. I've been using hd2 for sometime and flashed 3-4 cooked roms as well. No matter what I do ….my hd2 always freezes & hangs at least 2-3 times a day for no reason. The main culprit is swype keyboard. This does not go away by hard reset also. You need to reflash rom & reset to come back to normal.
Recently I put back my original spl by flashing from sd card (also formatted sd card). After that my phone worked great as I installed all apps one by one carefully. It did not hang for 2 weeks until I installed swype. It screwed up my data connection also…….started getting hanged. I like swype keyboard but its still buggy for hd2…..some features do not work also. So again wiped off whole thing & reflash …its pain in neck. Lets see how it goes. No problem so far.

when receiving a call, answer, reject and mute are options available on the screen....but if the phone is in your pocket, beware, it may mute the call you have been waiting for!! also, missed calls are easy to miss.
Obeche, 26 Jul 2010Guys,
See link for an Android loader app (run from WM HD2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/sh... moreStill on Android Desire v5 on HD2.....
Downloaded some media apps from Market and consequently played some MP4 video files. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give the output a 6.5 (video & sound). But then ofcourse I believe the class of the SD card "may play a part" here. So I plan to go for a class 4 or class 6 SD card and make comparison.
The greatest joy here is that "Deep Sleep" is extinct in this version. And there hasn't been much need for frequent soft reset.
Also 3G connection is working so well (though setup is manual).
Great work thus far and very promising .... Android on Hd2!!!

And both set you need to 'HARD-RESET' everytime theres a glitch. You need a special internal servicing.Dont blame the thing, blame the user.Make an effort to do some research and try & error for few times.I'm sure you will be able to find some solution which we can share.I,myself, face the same situation but I value my set as it takes me a long time to save $$$$ to purchase one. There are alot of sources available eg.http://forum.xda-developer.com,http://pocketnow.com,http://www.htchd2forum.com etc. So,cheer up bro!.thats not the end...chhers! :D

If you are on the internet tab and you hit the globe (not the search) you will get the desktop version of the internet.
2. The memory that is low on space is your ROM not the RAM. At least 10% of your ROM a.k.a. internal storage must be free. So the OS has space for swap files. The more free ROM you have the faster it works and the more stable it is. Stop installing program and saving files to the internal memory and use the SD card, that is what it is for.
Hi, all - I've got a couple of questions, hope someone can help me answer them.
1. Opera (both pre-installed and Mobile 10) think my handset is a HD Touch aka "Blackstone" when I go on Facebook, and it reverts to a basic, mobile version - how can I get around this?
2. Co0kies Home Tab & Editor - why are they downloaded as two separate programs, and why does my HD2 say my memory is critically low despite the fact that I have 150+ Mb free (according to my BsB RAM Sweeper) after I downloaded Cookie Home Tab - which I've uninstalled as I was fed up with constant low memory warnings... grrr!
Any advice will be greatefully received
