the best fix I know is to update your phone to the 1.66 ROM or install the hotfix on the HTC site. (the hotfix helped some people)

JLC, 17 Apr 2010Hey - as you asked before anthony yeah i get a counter next to my messages? but still runs slow :S :-( What can I say...
I have one person that count has reached 77 and I can still start typing right away to them.
And the counter only shows if you installed the patch or have ROM 1.66 or higher.
There is nothing more I know you can do. Sorry

(and that can be undone.) BsB will let you do some cool things but I don’t see how it will speed up your phone.

Get an HD2 while you can!!!
No more multi-tasking from Microsoft after that for at least 1 year. 2011 will be an *phone knockoff for regular Joes. Bummer.

But things should go back to normal once you close them with a task manager. so I can’t say why you are running slow if your ROM is 1.66 and you have more than 100mb free both on ROM and RAM. :-(

Ezhilan, 16 Apr 2010Thanx for ur comments,
How to make PIM back up in storage cardIn the US HD2, go to Programs, and us Mobile Backup.
I prefer to use SPB Backup, which also backup all installed programs.
If I recall correctly, previous MS ActiveSync used to be able to backup all programs installed in Pocket PC. Somehow, Microsoft has disabled that option. SPB Backup is similar to it. That is why I like SPB Backup, which also backup all contacts, appointments, and etc...
Some people like to cook their own ROM. But that is another story.
The other advantage of SPB Backup compared to ActiveSync is that if something happened to your phone and you don't have your PC/laptop with you, you can instantly put back the phone has it was before with a hard reset.
However, I also recommend using ActiveSync, which should be your primary way of backing up your contacts and appointments data.
