Hi
has anybody tested 16Gb memory card on HD2?
If so,how does it perform? Is there any speed problems?
Ness, 26 Mar 2010Hi everyone...
I'm iPone 3G user..and I think to switch to HTC HD2 in near future..but sinc... more1. Yes you can send files by bluetooth and use stereo headset.
2. It is sensitive but it’s a different OS.
3. The UI covers but the UI can’t help you with 3rd party software interface. And you have to really dig to find old school wm 6.1 like menus so the biggest problem would be old 3rd party software.
4. That is like asking, does apples taste as good a grapes? I may say yes and you may think no.
5. Yes, you just have to drag and drop like flash drive. No conversion needed.
Hi everyone...
I'm iPone 3G user..and I think to switch to HTC HD2 in near future..but since I've never used Windows phone before I'm worried a bit 'bout this...
I know the performances and specs' of this phone but Windows OS makes me to think a lot...cuz I don't know if it handles just like iPhone's beautiful OS..
I got some questions if any of you can answer them I'll be really glad and' you'll help me so much in my decison..
1.Does the phone have BLUETOOTH SENDING (just like in Nokia's)?
2.Is the screen sensitive like iPhone's one (I know it is capacitive but!) ?
3.Does the HTC SENSE UI covers the WinMo OS at all or do we have to use some UGLY WinMO Menu's too?
4.Is is easy to use WinMo like iPhone or Nokia os?
5.Is it easy to add/remove music files, pic's,etc. via Micro-SD card? (cuz iTunes sucks in this term)?
this are my question if any one from you can help me I'll appreciate so so much...and any user of HD2 can write down their Hands-on reviews too...
Thanks a lot..
Hey Anthony, High Tech and Transformer!
I had inumerous problems with my HD2 on the begining but after i have done the software upgrade to the ROM 1.66 it fixed almost all problems! i am down to
1- the screen continuous to freez sometimes when i have lots of stuff open (more then 3 apps)
i see people saying that they can have 10 apps with no problems =S so something must still be wrong
2- the messages, when i am writing one message it disapears and i have to touch on the message it self to be able to see what i am writhing (which is bad =s)
3- my data connection keeps going on even if i turn it off and i cant seem to put a full stop when i whant
this is my normal usage (listening to music or movies when going and coming from work, web browser every 2hours, showing my phone to my friends like going on the menu showing some apps sometimes, receiving emails from a hotmail provider)
that it (sorry for the trouble but can you help me please?????) =D

Thierry Corbeau, 26 Mar 2010Well, this may surprise some people. After all the hype, I thought I got lucky when I bought ... moreLMAF @ your comment. You are 100% right on that. But my fren...you need little patience with this phone. It did raised my blood pressure one time ...but now everything looks normal after spending lots of time on tweaking. I also came back to winmob after long time...i had iphone before this. TO be honest...any other touch-screen phones beside iphone is a Big Joke(Android seems promising..but never used before though). Just like you said...things used to get turned on automatically eventhough you disabled them in setting.....forget about touch screen...its like hit or miss....still now trying to get used to with it.
But its been 2 months i'm using...now looks good. You really need to spend time on this damn phone in order to make it work smoothly plus you need some tech knowledge. I already did 3 hotfix, 2 rom updates..to bring this to today's position.
But watever things inside...this phone is a peace of art. It's really beautiful and joy to hold this phone.....and its massive 4.3inch screen. If next iphone comes with this size screen...i will sell this phone & back to iphone again. I cant say you did good or bad by returning this phone but enjoy your blackberry!!

Karen, 26 Mar 2010which website I can go download bsb tweaks 1.6 ?
how do I send my email address to u at here ?I’m giving you the link but I want you to know if you had put that same question in google search. You would have found the program already.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305
You also need “.net 3.5 cf redistributed” to be installed on the phone first for BsB to work. If you don’t have it, use google to find it.
Mikee B, 26 Mar 2010Thanks for your comments! But you either had a faulty phone or the wrong phone! People come to... moreYou may think he is bashing the phone but keep one thing in mind….
The HD2 for the US is a provider phone. Not a HTC factory unlocked phone that most of us have.
If you look that how t-mobile UK managed to F-up our version with there ROM, its not impossible that they did the same thing and messed up the US version whit the t-mobile ROM as well. Service provider should stick to selling minutes and not interfere with the software on the phone. That is one thing I’m glad they are going to stop service providers from doing in 7
Maree, 26 Mar 2010Hi Anthony many thanks for replying. With regards to setting mail attachments to be saved to S... moreMail attachments to SD card….
Go to the mail tab.
Inbox>Menu>Tools>Options>Storage tab
Check the box that says “When available, use this storage card to store attachments”
I don’t know how you are doing it but ALL my installation file are kept on the SD, not the internal memory and when I click to install I pick the “storage card” if given the option. What program you doing that for and it still installing on internal?
Don’t think because you are seeing it on “remove programs” means it went to internal. Everything you install, no matter where you install it shows up in there, so you can remove the registry entry if you no longer want the program.
A simple test to know If a program was installed on the SD or not is…. Before you start the program take out the SD then try to lunch the program if it lunched, it’s on internal. If you get an error it’s on the SD. But you must do it before you start the program because all running program are loaded into RAM and it will not mater if the Card is in or out if the program is already running.
Had a problem something like that in the past with 1.43ROM with old S2U2 when the screen turned off and the phone locked.
When I press to turn it back on it sometimes would never come back on till a take out the battery.
But I am running 1.66ROM and new S2U2 and have not had that problem for a long time now.
Note to the advance users…
I have noticed that when you uninstall a program, that only removes the registry entry but the files still stay in the programs folder (may it be internal or SD programs folder) you have to go to the Programs folder and delete the program after you uninstall if you want to get back the space.
Chinese site has got hold of the HTC HD3 specifications from some HTC employees. If you thought Qualcomm’s 1 Ghz Snapdragon CPU is the biggest thing for the year 2010, think again?! HTC HD3 will be powered by the Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor.
HTC HD3 Specifications
Other HTC HD3 specs that have been leaked includes:
Display: 4.5-inch display (1280 x 800 resolution)
Processor: Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon
Camera: 8 MP camera with Xenon flash, front camera
Video: HD video recording (720p), 1080p video ready
Memory: 1GB RAM, 1GB ROM
Other: HDMI, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack
Capacity: 16GB internal memory (microSD card support up to 32GB)
Connectivity: 4G support, WiMAX, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi
Battery: 1800 mAH
OS: Windows Mobile 7
Considering the rapid improvement in the hardware specs that HTC is using in its devices, the HTC HD3 specs mentioned above look highly possible by the release date given.
HTC HD3 Release Date
The release date that has been included with the leaked specifications sheet of HTC HD3 is for November 2010.
