Looks like there's a big fallout over at Xda with developers leaving for HtcPedia... Looks like HtcPedia is taking all the best chefs from Xda to release ROM's only on HtcPedia site.... Now I hope this doesn't require us to pay a monthly fee to get ROM's now?????? In reading some blogs, it seems the issue is money for chefs???? It looks like HtcPedia is paying chefs to move to their site to release ROM's...... What do you guys and girls think of this??? It look like chefs are leaving Xda everyday......
WM7, 16 Mar 2010High Tech you look very disapointed with the fact that the wm7 is not coming out for the HD2 ... moreThe only disappointment to not get WM7 due to it having 5 buttons instead of 3. Which is a lame reason. WE just paid $750 dollars for that.... How can you leave a powerful device like this out???? I'm HAPPY with my HD2... WM7 is a limited OS to ME.... I wouldn't have updated to WM7 anyway... As I said before, I was going to get the Sony X10, before the HD2, but Sony is taking too long to release phone... I had already decided to move to Andriod before the HD2 came out... Before WM7 was demoed, I wanted it to be a great UI to keep me on WM, but it's not... I'm just waiting for Andriod to get better which it has... Waiting for better phones in 2011 and 2012 to buy my Android phone........
hi , Htc RAM is faster to work upon and also user friendly than other mobiles what all i used b4.
Its a good looking and worthy also which has android market for android os.
keep it up.
my htc hd2 has a dark spot on the screeen. but when the lcd opens then the icon in the screen shows perfectly in the spotted place. whats wrong with my htc hd2 lcd screen.

Hi Anthony, will installing skyfire void the warranty. Same for Nimbuzz? Thanks for your help.
Like you said i edited taggin of my all songs and put in win media player where i created playlists. Then i sync with my phone. Everything perfect. Its lot easier than to create playlist in phone. But I have few questions:
1)Before using win med player...i put all songs in sd card under some folders. I deleted all those old folders but i am not able to delete 2 folder. It says "you've no permission to delete" sometimes it says..file in use. How to delete??
2)When sync with wmp...if phone goes to sleep mode...sync doesnot work. So i have to keep tapping on phone to make it sync process complete.
3)I sync about 500 songs...it works but just wondering where all these songs are located in sd card?? I see only playlist and nth inside. Thanks
Guys try this app.. its fun ^_^ Iphone ui on HTC HD2. i run together with HTC HD sense just paste a short cut on home tab.. have fun. http://code.google.com/p/iphonetoday/

i think that the HD2 still kicks ass with the ROM 1.66 and i am sure that they won't leaves dry out there ;)
Well it looks like the HD2 will be left out of any official WM7 update... That's very disappointing news to hear... Also what gets me is how quite HTC is about the HD2... To me they have moved on from the HD2... I still cannot get an update to ROM v1.66 for my HD2... I'm moving on from WM OS on my next phone purchase... Also moving on from HTC phones as well... The HD2 was my first and last HTC phone I will purchase... I cannot support companies that leave you high and dry like HTC and MS has done... Not that I would buy a WM7 phone, I will not because it doesn't look good to me (plain)... Also I'm not an Xbox customer (PS3), and Xbox live does nothing for me... Not a twitter or facebook person either... My phone is business first and entertainment second... Will stick with the HD2 until Andriod gets better, which should be next year...
Moving ON to other OS..................
Lee UK, 15 Mar 2010I asked a page or so back about downloading music but didnt get any replies. Does anyone know ... moreEvery time you change your ROM your phone starts like when you just got it. Any date you put on the internal memory will be lost. That is why you have to use programs like PIM backup, My Phone, sync with outlook. To backup your data before you change the ROM. Files on the SD will not be lost.
Lee UK, 15 Mar 2010I asked a page or so back about downloading music but didnt get any replies. Does anyone know ... moreHi Lee, I'm not a great lover of downloading sites, the government is clamping down on free music sites. Most of them download to P.C. first. Limewire was popular.
Regarding updating your Rom, you wont lose any files if they are on your memory card, only whats in your phone memory, so i would advise to move any files in the phone over to the memory card or back them up on P.C.
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2010can you tell me where to get the miri rom v9 and how to install??? i would apreciate it ;)
... moreHere's the link where you can get the cooked ROM's from:
If you put the cooked ROM on your phone it will void the warranty. But you can put back on your old ROM to get warranty help. You will need to find the download for your original ROM and keep it in a safe place, should you need to go back to it.... First go down load the cooked ROM you want, and then myself or Anthony can tell you what you need to do to get the ROM on your phone... I'll be on and off this site due to work this week (Heavy)......
tictactaylor, 15 Mar 2010This has to be THE best handset I have ever seen. Sadly I do not own one, but am still very ha... moreI've had my HD2 since Nov 09, and never once needed a stylus... With the cust ROM's available, they made the HD2 more finger friendly to use... No need for a stylus at all... Also the on screen keyboard works just fine.....
I asked a page or so back about downloading music but didnt get any replies. Does anyone know what is the best website to use to download music? And can i download straight to my phone over the "airwaves" or do i have to download to a computer first. And also videos as well?
Also does anyone know that if I upgrade my ROM (Hack) to 1.6 will i loose files and stuff on my phone. Going to do the hack soon but just need to know.
This has to be THE best handset I have ever seen. Sadly I do not own one, but am still very happy with my TG01 that cost a LOT less, and is basically the same. Again, it's the screen on the HD2, it's CAPACITIVE! I've said this before(sorry to repeat myself), but on WM 6.5 you do need a stylus, OK it's got touch flow and is more digit friendly, but for some tasks the stylus is a MUST. iphone interface is fine on a capacitive screen, but NOT WM! I even have trobles on my T-Mobile pulse capacitive input, e.g. the keypad is SMALL (even in wide screen mode). Apart from that flaw (in my opinion), this phone is probably never going to be beaten except by it's own manufacturer that is
omz, 15 Mar 2010hi guys, im considering purchasing either a HD2 or an omnia 2 and would like some help on whic... morethe HD2 has faster processor bigger ram and a bigger capacitive touch screen with multitouch support(not as good as iphone screen and not scratch resistent)but the omnia II has better screen quality with vivid colors(amoled but it is resistive type)also the O2 has video call camera, xvid & divx video support, supports D-1 resolution video capturing while HD2 supports just VGA video capturing.
and regarding to the weight and battery the Omnia II is lighter and has better battery.
so if you are interested in multitasking, capacitive multitouch screens,it is HD2 otherwise O2 is better choice.
