Are you suggesting that there may be a problem with the current updated ROM i've just downloaded? Which ROM do you recommend from HTCPedia then? Thanks! :)
This AudioManager error thingy is driving me crazy!
Anthony, 22 Feb 2010How many mp3's do you have on the card?Hi Anthony, thanks for replying. I have around 150+ mp3 files in my hd2 right now, didnt transfer more as i was thinking of sending it for diagnosis at my local HTC sutomer care centre. The music files can be played normally on my winmo media player, but cant be played via the AudioManager; keeps encountering error. I've done a couple of hardresets, SD formats, and have upgraded to the latest ROM (1.66)from th HTC official website, but to no avail. Any advice or suggestion? Thanks! :)

Anthony, 22 Feb 2010did you download the ROM as yet? I'm waiting on you now...Hi, sorry for the delay but I was going to proceed with the download from the htc uk website but noticed that the version of the 1.66 rom available doesn't include UK. It has Norway, Denmark etc

1. I use “HD2 tweak” to block WAP on SIM (only turn it on when i need it) switching off data in comm.... is not enough because some app will auto turn it back on.
2. Have “Power Saving” on in BsB Tweaks 1.6
3. Backlight on Auto adjust.
4. Dim after 30sec
5. Turn off after 3 min
6. Keep WiFi and Bluetooth off (only turn on when you are actually using it.)
7. Keep setting for WiFi to sleep when screen if off.
8. Always sign out of “Google maps Latitude” when you are done or the GPS radio will drain the battery even if you close the app.
9. Don’t leave GPS apps running in the background if you not using it.
10. Leave Bluetooth in “Not Discoverable” mode (if it does not have to broadcast your ID it will use less power)
Just remember 1-2 days is what the average user will get out of the battery.
And try not to over charge your battery. Also discharge the battery and do a full charge once ever so often
Just loaded Miri ROM v4.1 (has eBook Tab). Was using v4.0. So far so good with v4.1. It's fast, smooth, and fluid. Seems stable for daily use. Version 4.0 was stable, so I would say v4.1 is stable for daily use as well. Will report later on use..............................

This one has the eBook Tab. I was using version 4, but that didn't have the ebook Tab. My battery lasts over a day with minimium use (Calls, texting, music playing, movie watching, etc.). I'm using a battery I purchased of ebay which is 1500mAh. I purchased two for only $13.00 for both....... So I get GOOD battery life.....

I have a stock ROM 1.66, and it drains battery like any thing even after closing all apps using task manager ,settings adjusted to minimum brightness,no vibration,or touch sound ,closing all connections etc etc.
Did you find any custom ROM giving Max or increased battery life and more stability. Which one.??
Anthony i believe yours is also same stock ROM 1.66.can you help me to improve on battery life?

It also played fine on the official ROM as well. It also downloads the album art too for my songs.... I have about 900 mp3's on my MiroSD card and plays well.... I would restore your HD2 with your HTC ROM or try a cust ROM from HTCPedia. They work like the stock HTC ROM's, but with added app's and tweeking for the HD2.......
High Tech, 21 Feb 2010I've flashed several ROM's from Dutty, Miri, Touch It, and so on. I'm currently using Miri ROM... moreWell I've been using Miri ROM v4 now for three days, and it's working quite WELL. Not having any problems with it. This ROM has all the HTC fixes in it. The one thing this ROM doesn't have is the eBook Reader Tab (which is no big deal). The reason I think it's missing is because T-Mobile will be using Barns & Nobles eBook software, which is not available yet. So I think it will be available later with the new Tab..... The ROM is smooth, stable for daily use, and fast. It's also very fluid.... The sync functions work well also. Only thing I've noticed is that if you take the HD2 of from the USB connection, when U plug back in, U sometimes have to do a soft reset while pluged in to sync, once that happens it sync's every 5 min.... So it works.. That's how it worked on a ROM from Dutty as well... I only sync about every two or three days... I can do all my work on my HD2... No need to plug into PC everyday..... So if you want the ROM and others, head over to HTCPedia and download. Also post your results from ROM's......
newbie, 22 Feb 2010thanks for your help "high tech"... what about the camera ?? it has only 65K colour... moreThe cust ROM's have the fixes built into the ROM's. You can download the cust ROM's from HTCPedia...... Enjoy..... I'm using ROM's by Miri...........

Anthonney and High tech are some how related to HTC company. They talk good abuot phone and help resolve user issues, but not helping then againt their querries. I myself have felt this.
In addition, I think that it's an issue of the Audio manager being unable to detect/import the songs from my SD. Whenever i click on 'Music', it shows the Audio Manager scanning for songs, and when it finishes, the error message pops up..
