The Europe 1 and Europe 2 is just there for you to find a location closest to where you are downloading from for a faster download speed. Your S/N dictates what rom you get, not that location dropdown. My phone has a UK rom I did the download from the US option in the dropdown (US is closest to me). I still got the updated UK rom.
Iíve just downloaded the ROM upgrade from HTC site. Can anyone tell me what the difference between Europe 1 and Europe 2 is? I canít find any reference to it on Google apart from radio stations. I opted for 1 and hope itís ok to install.

Do it by e-mail. Leave a (want of a better word) paper trail. In the business world itís called covering your a-ss. Over the phone itís your word against thereís and youíre smaller. Even if you decide to go in now to drop it off yourself, write a letter in duplicate stating what happened and what you are doing now. Deal with i supervisor, and get them to sign the copy of the letter you are keeping.
Be nice when talking to the front deck person if you ever want them to go get the supervisor. lol
If they say they can deal with it. Ask them ďif this goes down wrong and i get billed for the phone, are you going to pay that bill for me?Ē
Always write down names of the people you deal with. Better yet do it in a way that they can see that youíre writing there name down. You never know when you will have to recall a name so it is known you did try to resolve the problem.
And remember if you end up selling, sell at a price that could cover the cost of your provider billing you for it after.

After i spend all that money for my own, it better not have such a thing, lol.
Seriously, everything man made has a ďused timeĒ life span but i donít thing that should be under 5years with the heaviest of 24/7 365day use.
And in five years most of us will see a better phone and would have moved on.
Files like movies just being stored on the memory card and to watch it is just using one program. I don't think you are over working anything.
At any one time a may have 6 apps running and using the ďAlt TabĒ add-on to switch between them.
That transfer way is the fastest. Sync mode is very useful, just not for getting music & videos from your PC through media player. Normally you end up with files you donít want on your phone getting on to it. And a synced ďmedia playerĒ play list canít be edited on the phone but a play list made on the phone can be edited on the phone.
i had £18 charge for contacting them on numerus occasions to arrange an excahnge and i did tell them on the phone and went to the store and they didnt seem to care so as far as im concerend i shouldnt have to contact them again as i asked for my money back and they said no..
anyway thanx.. i will leave it and wait till they contact me..

"All programs can be downloaded from phone or PC.
If it is a .cab put the file on the memory card and install from there.
If it is .msi file you must install it from the PC with the phone connected in sync mode.
If it is .exe some are done from the phone and older ones from the PC in sync mode. So you will have to try and see."
The standard thing to do is to visit the htc official website accessing your local country page/language, and download the Hotfixes which can be found under the "SUPPORT" menu tab. If you feel like you need more stuff (i.e. programs)for your phone, come back and describe what you are looking for, if not, a Google search usually leads to some results.
Anthony, 24 Jan 2010The default sence UI Player can play videos
Screensize = 800x480
Video quality (Kbps) = 700
... moreMakes sense. However, now I'm worried that I might be putting too much stress on my HD2 because of all the movie watching.
Like I said before, my lamp on my laptop screen burned out, so I'm getting very bored, as a result I'm watching movies on my HD2...should I be worried about my phone and being over used? Can it even BE overused?
The way I'm transffering the movies is:
1. Hook up phone to laptop via USB cable
2. Engage mobile disk drive mode
3. Enter phone via My Computer > open memory card
4. Copy > Paste what ever movie I want to watch from my laptop onto the phones memory stick
What do you think? Good, Bad, or so-so?
just woundering can anyone help me?
i have the htc hd2 on contract, i phoned my network to get a 28 day exchange because it needed the software update and they said the new phone would be updated.
i arranged a date for the exchange and they turned up 3 days earlier when i was not in. the courier would not leave it with my parents as it had to be an exchange so i rearanged with them for another date and yet again they came 3 days earlier when i was not in.. so a different courier man left the new handset with my parents and he said he would come back in a few days for the old one.
he never did come back and i spoke to staff in the network shop and the staff said just keep it as a spare. this was 4 weeks ago..
am i in the wrong for selling it on or should i contact the network to tell them i still have it??
any advice would help loads.

Not everything should go on memory card.
And not because you put the installation file on the memory card that means it was installed there.
And where to programs really run from. And when you close a program is it really closed. I went into all of that with him. But by now the pages may now start at 68 or 69 time stamp 2009-12-20 09:21 and end at 50 or 51 time stamp 2009-12-28 17:47.
Review of the JABRA BT3030 & BT620 some have been asking for.....
I will start by saying my reasons for using Bluetooth stereo headsets so when i give my reasons for liking/disliking them youíll understand why.
For a long time now i have been keeping a large amount of albums on my phones so it doubles as an mp3 player for me.
The main times i want to use the headsets are.....
1. In the office that is normally very quiet (helps keep my work speed up)
2. In the Gym when they decide to play crap.
3. when i go jogging/walking (to help me to not give up before time. lol)
4. Sometimes to watch TV late at night in bed without waking up my wife.
1. For music and phone calls
2. Back of neck design
3. Very soft and comfortable sponge for speakers that rest on your ear (not in your ear)
4. Comes with a extra pair of sponges
5. Power on/off, answer/end/voice dial/swap/dial last number (multi function key), volume up/down colour coded lighting indicator (Left outer surface of speaker)
6. Play/pause, track forward/backward, hole for mic, mini USB connection port colour coded lighting indicator (right outer surface of speaker).
7. Because of the two different Bluetooth audio profiles (calls & stereo music) it is capable of being activated with two devices at the same time. e.g. listen to audio on your Bluetooth ready PC and answer a call on your cell phone when one comes in. PC music will auto pause.
8. Charges from any USB port.
9. When connected to a PC with the USB cable it will charge and can also be used as a corded headset if that PC doesnít have bluetooth.
1. For music and phone calls
2. Army Dog tag Design
3. Very light weight
4. Comes with corded Noise cancelling in-ear buds with behind the neck cable design.
5. Comes with 3 sizes of jells
6. Front face of the dog tag has play/pause, volume up/down, track forward/backward, answer/end call (if i left out some functions here, it is because this headset is still new to me and it didnít come with a detail book)
7. Left of dog tag has standard 3.5mm audio jack
8. Top of dog tag has hole for mic and chain loop
9. Back of dog tag has removable shirt neck clip
10. Bottom of dog tag has mini USB charging port.
My experience... (not based not technical info, just my usage)
Sound quality was to my liking with very nice bass line and at low volume i cold still hear if someone was calling me or have a conversation. At high volume it was enough to block out any talk that was going on around me. Using it with the USB cable on the PC was very nice for PC gaming and was a + that it would charge at the same time. Audio quality in calls was also to my linking but the other party did complain that when wind hit the mic it would make allot of noise. (So itís not very good for outdoor phone calls if you live in a windy area) the signal range is about standard and it would pause your music if you walked out of rang. It would also auto reconnect and play when you walk back into range. The problems i had with it was the multi function key on the left was right where most people would hold a headset to put it on or take it off of them. And it was so easily activated you could run the battery down when the headset is in the bag and not even know. Or dial the last number unintentionally. (Having it connected to the phone when in bed watching videos on the TV was a big No,No)
The lighting indicator on both sides made your head look like an alienware PC, itís a good thing you could disable them. I had to stop using them when my 1+ year old rip up the sponges (if anyone knows where i can get the sponge for this model to buy that will ship internationally post the link so i can go get it)
Because i use it in the office and it comes with noise cancelling ear bud (that really do their job) i can only where one side in my ear even at low volume. Using it like this at low volume makes the bass almost none existent. But i have done this with other corded in-ear buds and they still sound good in an office environment. The build quality and look is top notch. It will bring no attention to you from others that you are wearing a Bluetooth headset. The lighting indicator is the Jabra branding on the dog tag (not on the earbuds). With the dog tag under your jersey people would thing you are mad when you are on a call lol. Using it out of the office is a treat with the two buds in the way it was meant to be. If you close your eyes the world disappears. The bass line is the way i like it. And the buds are so soft and light you donít even feel them. Only because i know Iím not mad, i donít think the voices are coming from my head. lol (then again all mad people say they not mad. Hum???)
Keys are stiff enough to fall asleep with it on and not accidently press anything but soft enough that it is not hard to use when you are making deliberate presses. I like that it is using a standard 3.5mm jack for the ear buds, so i can change them if i find a corded pear i want to use with it. The mic is on the dog tag so i donít have to get a pear with a mic. The range is above average and it also auto connects and plays when you walk back into range. I like the quality of the sound in calls but the other side of the conversation say the can hear everything in the background. (So itís not good to use in a noise environment)
Why i use Bluetooth headsets for music and not corded headsets???
I have had about 10 corded headsets that i can remember. And every last one of them would get hooked on something when Iím moving around and get a break somewhere in the cable. Not one of them lasted more than 2weeks. The cord for the ear buds included with the BT3030 is short in length (it could just about reach my shirt pocket if my phone is in there upside down and i what to plug the ear buds directly into the phone to activate and listen to the radio on the phone with it. (Because it is short i hope it will last.)
I hope this info was helpfully to the people that wanted to know.

Thanks for the huge list of programs I should download. I assume that all is n... more Google is always a good place to start.
Some key words are windows mobile, PPC, WVGA.
I will only give a link after you have tried and canít find something.
The reason for this is.... when you look, you may find something i did not know about. Or you may get a newer version that i did not know was out. So always come here and shear your findings with fellow users.
B.t.w. You will get ďMidomiĒ free on HTCpedia and for the updated MSN do a search for ďLIVEĒ on ďMarketplace appĒ from the phone.
