If it is a E right over the signal icon that means you are connected to the edge,
If you don’t ever want it to connect your data plan(not even for mms) install BsB tweaks and disable data.
If you want your mms but want the block the rest install HD Tweak and use it to disable wap or whatever the setting is for your sim and leave mms active.
Note that E can be a G for gprs or a 3G as well.
Hi guy, I'm new to Windows mobile. My HTC HD2 has an E icon on the top bar of the screen. I touch on it and it means Data connection in the connection page. I only use the phone wifi to get on internet. Does it mean I have to pay for internet connection everytime the E icon apprear? Thank you. Please answer.
Message for Anthony (Sorry another one) I have an issue with glass and slim design as according to the laws of physics, this design although beautiful is perhaps less able to absorb impact or being pressed upon and I thought this may make the screen and phone more fragile...do you have any sight on its drop ability and glass strength?
Your instruction for putting on the screen protector are cool however are you sure that pressing the remaining moisture our with a card will not force water into the side panelling between the edge of the glass and the sides?? I assume you need to go easy when spraying the solution onto the protector?
Blaine, 11 Jan 2010Anthony, What screen protector do you have on your HD2? Is it P300?yes I'm using the SP P300

All the best to everyone.

You'll have to get used to it, the Micro-USB is now a European standard for charging mobiles. Expect to find it on most, if not all new smartphones:
i just got this phone few days ago. i say it can blow iPhone out the apple tree it came from. This phone is HOT. very slick and fast. Unlike any other windows mobile phone i've ever seen. My only complaints would be its pretty large (no homo), no miniUSB (they put microUSB), and last but not least, the battery goes out rather quick than my old HTC FUZE(touch pro)...
im really pissed off just for the missing miniUSB because I have those set up at work and home, and its pretty much standard. if it had miniUSB, i would be okay. Its a very fingerprint prone phone. But excellent phone. I dont think I can ever love another phone as much. Great Work HTC. WM6.5 is sweet.
I work for google, I like this phone, and I like google. The End

Khalil, 11 Jan 2010thinking of the screen protector but not sure. i mean if the screen is glass and im not gonna ... moreTrick to putting on screen protector….
Put a small amount of dish washing liquid with a lot of water in a spray bottle.
Spray your hands with it.
Remove the backings from the screen protector and spray the screen protector as well. (don’t spray the phone)
Now it will not stick when you rest if on the screen or get prints from your hand.
Position it just the way you want it and when you are happy with the location use your bank card or ID to press out the water and it will stick with no bobbles, dust or prints between the screen protector and the phone. Leave to dry proper so it will not slip back off.
hey guya i looked various sites for buying this handset,,,a website is presenting me with 370$,,,is it safe to buy from tht site,,,nextly the site belongs to a UK company,,,and they deal with products only thru FED EX and MONEY UNION TRANSFER
Is the new HTC HD2 only going to be offered with windows mobil? Is android an option?
Anonymous, 11 Jan 2010I thought that to about the mms but if you click directly on the paperclip symbol it comes upWait you mean to tell me the reason you thought you did not get the mms is because you did not see the attachment without tapping the paper clip??
I did not mentions that in setting up because I thought that was obvious.
Wow.. The things I take for granted. I did not even remember that till you brought it up :)
Khalil, 11 Jan 2010thinking of the screen protector but not sure. i mean if the screen is glass and im not gonna ... more:-) I here you.
And I too, like this phone a lot that is why I got the screen protector and the gell case.
Here is why…
My first win mo phone was the Qtek s200. It had a metal body. It fell on ruff concrete one day when I was on a construction site. Every thing looked ok but when I taped on the screen every thing was out of wack spent about $200US (including shipping) to replace the screen. Then I ordered a gel case but before it came I had a ATV mishap and the phone broke my fall, The case came 2 days after lol.
Then came the HD. Had it on my lap when I was driving and did not remember it was there. (Gel case was not selling for it as yet.) Got out the car and the phone slid across the car park and got a small dent by the audio jack. but to me it looked like a crater. A lot of sh-it happened to it after that but by then I already had a gel case on it. So when I sold it, it was still in very good working and looking condition. The HD came with a screen protector that my daughter left teeth marks on but because the protector was there it did not go down to the screen.
Yes I know the HD2 has a glass screen but so does the iPhone and my friends iphone screen has a lot of fine scratches on it that you can see if you look at it from the right angle. I don’t know what he keeps in his pockets with his phone…
