For those of you that complained that win mo 6.5 needs a stylus
I bring good news. The “HTC HD2 ST C400 Capacitive Stylus” is here and Clove is selling them now. Shipment comes in on the 15th. but as we all know, things for this phone sell fast so if you want one you should buy it now.
vish, 08 Jan 2010u should have warned me about this buddy when i asked u about the android on the milestone. ... moreI’m not talking about win mo 7 till I get my hands on a test version. Don’t want to be like the rest of people that just making assumptions
Anthony, 08 Jan 2010For the people that come in the HD2 forum to go on and on about the Nexus that none of them ha... moreu should have warned me about this buddy when i asked u about the android on the milestone.
i got the nexus and hd2 ....
if u were me which one would u keep? from a 4-5 month perspective.
hd2 is a complete phone ,nexus is still incomplete . icant load some apps on it like skype!!!
will win 7 be good and fast enough . cause the nexus is very very fast.
to the guy that wanted battery and clock info in the task bar always, this link is for you
There is a update for your sim and it also changes the radio version of the phone on the HTC UK site. The update alters your rom… it is for phone that have roms 1.59.xxx.x. and older
donbhau, 08 Jan 2010which phone is the beter hd2/nexus one/iphone?For the people that come in the HD2 forum to go on and on about the Nexus that none of them have. You should know there is no SDK for Android 2.1 as yet which means there is no way for software developers to test there programs to see if they will work well on Android 2.1 or not. So when you buy a program for Nexus you are (as they would say buying “a cat in bag”) chances are it may not work or crash the phone. Google has to make the Software Development Kit and they don’t even have a date when they going to do that.
So now you have a phone that calms to have an open source OS but open source developers don’t have what they need for it. How ironic… that sounds just like the iPhone OS to me… (Under lock and key)
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2010Bluetooth ;) or wifi! Drag and drop, no software required.which phone is the beter hd2/nexus one/iphone?
Quite dissapointed with the pricing and specs. Over priced for its features. Samsung offers better phones such as Omnia HD, OmniaPro and Omnia II for much lesser pricing. The camera is just another basic 5MP. No Amoled screen, no 16million colour support, poor camera, no hd recording or sound output. Please get your facts straight before using the word HD. Just another 4.3 over sized phone with useless features. If u want better value for money, go for Omnia II or Omnia Pro B7610.
Dont talk BS, 07 Jan 2010The browser is very nice indeed, flash support is nice. But I dont like your agressive atit... moreHD2 has baby flash support that is flsh lite 3.1 and not full flash 10 plus .No confirmation yet that it will get it.
i have a nokia n82 and i dont seem to understand why my retarded nokia has a TFT screen with 16M colors, while this, obviously, super super mobile phone has only 65K colors, not even 256K :S does that matter?
other 2 things i did not like about this phone is:
the HSUPA rate is 2Mbps, which is lower than other phones. i dont use 3G, and i dont know how significant that is
the battery is 1300mAh only!!! the standby time is only 390 hours, compared to 450 for the samsung Omnia :S
Dual core processor coming end of 2010. That means phones to come mid to end of 2011. Cannot wait to see what phones will come with this processor. It's said it can handle 1080p video. Lets hope HTC comes out the the HD3 with this chip. Until then the HD2 will do until a phone that can handle 1080p recording and movies in 1080p.......See link:
Anonymous, 07 Jan 2010When will winmo have browser like this.
May b... moreThe browser is very nice indeed, flash support is nice.
But I dont like your agressive atitude. The HD2 has very nice browsers my friend. I am typing this on my HD2 using Opera Mobile 10 beta 2, and the browser is awesome. Soon the mobile version of Firefox will arive on Windows Mobile and Android (N900 already has it). The PC version of Firefox is the best (fast, safe, awesome features), so I am pretty sure the mobile version wil be very good.
And flash will arive on the HD2 as well if I am correct. Apple was the only one that did not join the Adobe 'flash' project.
Nexus 1 is very nice, but I think if I did not have my HD2 and I would choose between these two, I still would go for the HD2. The build quallity is the best, which is important to me. The screen is much larger. HTC Sence looks much better than the homescreen I have seen on the N1. Windows Mobile, even with the negative points, is very nice. Once it gets to the top level of finger friendly menu's and stability, it will be able to compete with Android and Apple OS. With WM6.5 I can go on the net and download almost anything (zip mobile FTW), it is 'jailbroken' by nature so you can do a LOT with it, .. and I can play Tekken 3 on it!
Anonymous, 07 Jan 2010When will winmo have browser like this.
May b... moreDont take me wrong i am having latest winmo and nokia 5800
.Opera browser ,PIE,skyfire, netfront,UC web,Dorothy i have used all but they lack in speeed or shows checker box or not having flash support.
Nexus one Beats HD2 here
Also dont to see forget Voice to text awesome feature here
When will winmo have browser like this.
May be after 20 years.
By then Android will have super browser.
none of 6 winmo web browser matches browser of my nokia 5800.
This thing looks marvelous...but is it going to have Apple PowerMac-compatible software (for transferring pictures, etc.?)
Josh, 07 Jan 2010I wanna get a smartphone with good internet browsing and movie watching as well as music liste... moreHD2 is the BEST phone out right now. If you can afford it get the HD2. WM6.5 is great on it. WM6.5.3 will be out for it soon (update). Then WM7 (more iphone like) will be out for the HD2 in late 2010 or before. Also you have developers support (Xda, etc) in addition to HTC support that work on updates for it, so can update the look of the phone as well........
ahhh???, 07 Jan 2010This is a good phone. Don't get mad but it lacks two or more things.
First one is video call ... moreIMO, the main disadvantage is the lack of DLNA support. it also would help to have an AMOLED screen. still, this is by far the best phone out there and it will be for quite some time, thats why i bought it.
ill keep this till the HD3 which i hope will include those features and (also hoping) an nvidia tegra processor. lets keep our fingers crossed for the new generation of batteries which i hear last 10 times as long as li-ion. but that is far fetched for now.
