Chuck, 18 Dec 2009Well, lucky HTC has a person like you available to be their user guide. Its probably cheaper t... moreNO phone or software you buy will not work 100% out of the box... Now if the doesn't work out of the box, that's a big problem. That's why you have updates to make your product work better each day. Why buy a product and there's no support to make the product better. You buy a car in 2009. In 2010 there will be a better model of your car (they made a better model with more upgrades), same with phones, software, etc. No product is perfect out of the box...........
Has anyone heard when the 32GB microsd cards will be available. Been searching for awhile now, and cannot find anything????????????????????? I have a two 16GB cards now, but want a 32GB so I want have to switch cards out........................
Looks like t-mobile will be getting the HD2 and X10 next year. ATT dropped the ball again. I was hoping they would get the x10. My wife wants the x10. Looks like I will have to buy the x10 unlocked.

Thanks for the info. But still WM or Manufactures need to include more games out of the box. You pay over $700 for an unlocked phone, surely they can inclued a few more games. I'm not saying add 30 games, but give us more than just 3. Give us more motion games to see how the HD2 really plays games (just got one teeter).......
Shelley, 19 Dec 2009Hi!
I am due to get this phone on Monday.
Are there any 'must have' installations you th... moreThere is no one place to get all the apps for windows mobile. Programs can be found all over the net. This phone has more in common with a windows PC than with an average phone. so the faster you accept that the easy things will be for you when using it. So make Google search your best friend because you will be using it a lot to find what you need. There is no iTunes to do it all. And the “window mobile market please” is Childs play compared to what you can find on the outside.
And seeing that you are new to windows mobile and HTC phones the first thing you should do is spend the weekend reading the HD2 user manual.
HTC did a good job of making the phone user friendly. But sad to say, it is still not as i-diot proof/friendly as the iPhone, so you will have to do some reading to know how some things work, what some things are for and how to edit the many setting that can be edited.
Go to w w w .h t c . c o m
Pick your country as United Kingdom
Go to the support tab
Pick this phone
Pick the User Guides tab
And download the User Manual (not the Quick start guide)
After you digest all that is in there.
You can think about what programs to get.
Starting with the updates right there on the HTC site.

solitare and bubble breaker is on the phone but they did not make a shortcut to it, so you will have to make one your self.
1. open "file explorer" on the phone
2. go to the "Windows" folder
3. scroll down to the game.
4. press and hold on the file till a popup menu comes out.
5. pick "copy"
6. scroll back to and tap on "start menu" folder
7. tap "Programs" folder
8. tap "Games" folder
9. once in there press and hold in a open spot till the popup menu comes out
10. tap on "paste shortcut"
that it, you should see it in the games folder, in the start menu now.
I am due to get this phone on Monday.
Are there any 'must have' installations you think I should get.
I have the iphone at the moment. Apart from the basics I'm not that technical with phones.
Is there a website you can use to view all the available downloads/updates?
chris z, 19 Dec 2009PLEASE HELP, can anyone tell me how to access my java apps on hd2 have installed opera mini an... morewhen you install a java app it is kept in a next app called "JBlend" :-)
it can be found under...
but why did you install opera mini when the default browser on the phone is Opera Mobile.
and if you want a browser that can play flash or handle java script (like what you need for online banking)
use "skyfire" its the closest you will get to browsing like on a desktop pc.
PLEASE HELP, can anyone tell me how to access my java apps on hd2 have installed opera mini and cannot work out how to start it, no icon appears anywhere for java or java apps. ALSO, anyone know how to access microsoft games i.e solitare etc.

It is excellent phone i ever used before. It is really cool and have all the options you are thinking for. The price is much lower than IPhone when it was launched. I can say this is really phone that makes me satisfied after a very ,long search and time. Go for it...
can anybody tell me how do i free memory on my phone ... i keep on getting a msg saying phone memory full ..
also all my contacts are stored on phone memory can i transfer them to the memory card ... how?
Anthony, 17 Dec 2009Tell me how you did it on your older HTC phone for sms and I will see if I can find it on this... moreHi Anthony,
This is regarding the Autosignature in SMS. On my Touch Cruise the method was just similar to what you asked me to do for the emails - I used to go to "Messaging / Options". There is a "Signature" tab. When we select this tab it opens another window - "select an account". There is a pull down menu that lets you select either "outlook emails" or "sms / mms". For each option you could provide a different closing statement - e.g. Regards XX for emails and Yours truly YY for sms....
However in case of HD2 we get the pull down menu but the option to select "SMS" is not avaialble.
For those of you that HD2 camera software version is 6.26 (build 1921.1625) or lower
There is a patch for you on the HTC site that will make your camera use the storage card more efficiently allow more pictures/video to fit on your existing card
I fell in that group so i did it.
Chuck, 18 Dec 2009Well, lucky HTC has a person like you available to be their user guide. Its probably cheaper t... moreWOW! All this because i answered your question???
I’m not begging you or forcing any one to buy the phone you know. What you buy or don’t buy does nothing for me. I just choice to be help full because there are allot of negative people out there that do nothing but fuss about everything and nothing at the same time. Like you for example :-)
There was a simple solution to the problem but instead of being happy you just looked for something very opinionated to be negative about. There are many people like you out there so was no need to add myself to the list.
So if being negative keeps you worm at night then by all means just keep it up.
For the rest of the people that wanted to know about the next program it’s called
At last check, it had reach version 2.78
This one does not need “.net 3.5” in order for it to work and it is very customisable. Because of this some people may just prefer to stick with “BsB Tweak”
So after you download the .cab just copy it to you memory card and run it to install.
1. Lunch the program from the start menu
2. Check the “enabled” box
3. If you want the rules you set here to always be on check the “run on Startup” box
4. Check the boxes that show how you want the phone to be able to orient its self by default right side up, left, up-side down, right. (Whatever you set here applies to EVERYthing on the phone.
5. Then go to the “Exceptions” tab this is where you put the programs that you don’t want to follow the default rule you made before
6. Tap “add” to get a spot to enter a program name. (It’s real name not the short cut name.)
7.Type the name of the program and check the boxes that show how you want that program to behave.
8. If you check no boxes that program will just take the orientation of the last program you had open.
9. If you want to add a program to the list but you don’t know it’s real name, then go back to the “General” tab and tap on “show App Names”
Now any app on the screen will have its real name displayed. Even interface names are displayed. When you find the name you are looking for re-open changeScreen and tap “stop”
10. Go back to the “Exceptions tab and make your exception.
From there you can save and exit or you can go on to the “Advanced” tab to do more tweaking
If you did allot of changes in here, when you are done you will want to go to the “Help” tab and “Export configuration”
This is the link to ChangeScreen
