That will not work because the player can read wma files so it will still see your ring tones.
I know you didn’t want to do this but you are going to have to for now......
When on the player, go in the “Library”
Pick the “playlists” tab
Create a new playlist
Pick you new playlist
Pick add songs
Go to the “Select songs” tab
Tap on “menu”
Tap on “select all”
Then go through the list and uncheck the ones you don’t want to play
Then tap the playlist you just made
Tap any song in that list, so the list will load in “now playing”
And wa-la! all your songs without the ring tones. And as you add music to the phone you can just go in and edit that list you made.
Don’t make the playlist on your PC and upload it to the phone because a list made that way can’t be edited on the phone, Just played.

Have now sorted the problem on my HTC music player, just had to check the file names of my mp3s and remove any unusual symbols (ie accents or mathematical characters from any file names - such as E=MC2, had to remove the = sign) and it is finally working fine!!
Only problem is that it's still picking up my ringtone files even though they are stored in AAC format in the C/Windows/Rings folder. I think I'll have to change my ringtones to WMA files, like the default ones on the phone... hey-ho!
I just got this HTC HD2 10 days bck...i got some problem wid this gadget.
This phone cannot read the contacts in my sim.
Cant send SMS to any number,
the phone hangs at time while running opera browser wid any other application,
the battery life is pathetic,
music players takes some time to open(even i had upgaraded my memory from 2GB to 8Gb)
not worth the price.... really unsatisfied...
Hi Anthony, what software do i need on windows 7 to sync with my htc hd2? Is it windows mobile device centre (or something like that) the same as vista?

Anthony, 11 Dec 2009Mark every thing that was said to you about the rom is true.
And let me get this clear with y... moreHi, Anthony
Whilst my HD2 didn't have the "pink spot" problem I nonetheless downloaded the patch file as suggested to see if it might also address the problem I'm having with the HTC music player. But I'm sorry to say that the music player still crashes.
Does anyone else have any issues with the HTC music player on the HD2? If so, how might you have overcome this?
Btw, all my ringtones are now stored as AAC files in the phone's C/Windows/Rings folder - should I ever get the music player working I'll let you know if the player ignores mt AAC ringtone files and only picks up the MP3/MP4 music files I have stored on my microSDHC card...
well not sure about the tech stuff... but its very fast if u compare with previous windows based mobiles .. the batt life is kind of tricky ..as its a big phone ..handling is not that easy ..the pouch which comes with it is too tight ..camera has a sharp edge ..i cut my fingers with it twice hahahah but i love the looks and the screen and it works like a charm

Man you are the best .
Ok i know i am late to try the skyfire browser but i must say its allot better than IE mobile at viewing flash video web sites.
I was watching www.cnettv.com on it and it looks just like the desktop version of the web page.
iels2003 ………. Maybe this browser would be better for you to use for the e-cards.
