High Tech, 15 Nov 2009I've been using the HD2 for a few days now, and it's been wonderful. The phone is very fluid a... moresome guys used the phone already are saying that the phone recieption is some times not well and hard to hear the 1 on the other side, is that true? and if i want to active the loud speaker while am driving for eg. i'll have to close all the windows as the speakers is kinda low comparing pro2 or old HD for eg.
am asking many quest. i know but i want to buy one for muself after i ask who already used it like u High Tech, you already have one.
WHAT DO U THINK IF I ORDERED THE OLD HD, will i miss alot, what do u think?
i think i'll miss
1)the camera flash.
2)the great capasitive screen, but the resistive screen is very sensitive still and i have the cool magnetic stylus, :)
SO WHAT DO U THINK ???
High Tech, 14 Nov 2009Used the HD2 now for 3 days, and I must say it's one of the best phones out right now. The pho... moreBATTERY!!!
what about the battery performance with all this technologies and a 4.3'' screen, i think it's hardly stand for 1 day, and i mean hardly can? and under the sun screen, is it really readable outdoors??
This is a great phone ... BUT it's got some issues and I'm considering selling the one I've had for just a couple of days. Its good points are the fantastic screen size and the many, many fab features but it has a few bugs. It seems HTC always fixes the bugs in one model (and the Touch HD had a few very annoyign ones) only for new ones to turn up in another one. What are they? It oftens hangs when it's trying to download weather info and when I was playing around trying to choose ringtones yesterday it went mad and wouldn't stop vibrating until I took the battery out! What else is a problem? You can't turn off the annoying beeps when you type onto the phone keypad; the snooze option in the calendar only has a five-minute window (ie, you can't defer a reminder for 10 miutes, 20 minutes, half a day etc as previously); ditto the snooze option in the alarm clock. But the most problematic issue is that capacative touch screen. HTC's previous resistive touch screens were very sensitive but this new one is so sensitive it's a real pain! Typing quikcly is almost impossible because of the likelihood of accidentally touching the wrong keys. It's SO annoying but because it's such a fundamental feature of the phone, it's something I can't ignore like the other issues can be ignored. Maybe I'll just have to wait another year until the HD3 comes out!
I've been using the HD2 for a few days now, and it's been wonderful. The phone is very fluid and fast. This has been a good investment for me. After thinking about it, this phone does everything I need a phone to do. I said in other post that, I'll upgrade to another phone in 2-3 years. After using this phone, I see no need to upgrade. I've been buying phones every year for the last 5 yrs. That stopped with the HD2 (all I need), and you get alot of support with flash ROM's, updates, etc from developers. That's why I choose HTC over other phones.
This is a must buy if you're looking for a wonderful phone...............................................
Can i any one confirm HD@ (which runs on WinMo 6.5) would be upgradable to WinMo 7.0
rod, 15 Nov 2009I'm in doubt what mobile to buy from the following either Samsung i8910 HD or Samsung B7610 or... morei have satio
satio is a very good phone
but HD2 is good too
if camera and video and hd gaming and xenon flash and camera features is important to you satio is better
but if UI and multi touch and sensetive screen is important to you HD 2 is better for you
hero and touch pro 2 are not good and overpriced and satio is better than x2 on paper
i am a SE fan but i like some HTC phones too
I'm in doubt what mobile to buy from the following either Samsung i8910 HD or Samsung B7610 or HTC HD2 or HTC Hero or HTC Touch Pro 2 or Sony Xperia 2 or Sony Satio. Can you please help me? thanks
Sorry about the spelling . Same question for someone who has a HD2.. Despite the fact that there is no stylus, can the HD2 be used with an external stylus ? ie does it still offer the option of block recognizer or letter recognizer apart from touch input?
l0l, watch this, it's an extended version =))))

is there a way use Windows Journal on this device?
eg type notes down and draw diagrams on one document (paper)
for example when i sit down in a lecture and i type and draw diagrams in physics.
Also want to mention that one hand operation is somewhat difficult. Using two hands is fine with me....................................................

Do t... moreHow is the outdoor visibility? It's good. You can see it very well in the sun, no problems at all.
What are the 5 keys at the bottom of the phone made of? Feels like metal, but I think hard plastic.
Do they move when you press them or does it use a proximity sensor? They move when pressed, and they light up as well. Very useful in the dark.
All in all this is a very well made phone. Only real negative is finger print magnat. You will have to clean screen and back often if you don't have cover (bodyguardz, invisashield, or clear coat). Will get one soon as available.
Did find a good case at my local mall for it. It's a case made by Ultra. It fits the Iphone and Treo. Protects the phone well
The screen is very sensative. Have to get use to it.........
