Just finished flashing Yukiand xboxmod back to the future,"mango"7720 on my Leo.will report back after some use.
For the users that have used the transcriber input that was in past window versions.
You will be happy to know that it is also in this version just hidden in some ROMs.
You can make a shortcut to in the start menu by opening the file explore on the phone and go to
My Device>Windows and tap and hold on the “Transcriber” file. Pick “copy” from the popup menu. Then go to…
My Device> Windows> Start Menu> Programs. And tap on “Menu” “Paste Shortcut”
Rename the shortcut if you like.
That’s it you now have transcriber input to use with your fingers or capacitive pen.

hello Anthony.first of all i wanna thank u for being such a good help for Hd2 yea... moreI don’t see anything wrong with giving them both a try. Who knows, it could help you decide what OS phone you will go with next when you are ready to replace your HD2.
I have tried both Android and WP7 but in the end I had to come back to WM for everyday productivity. But don’t make your judgment based on my needs because what you are looking for may be different from me.
You have 3 options…
1. Android (SD) your phone runs Android from the SD and window stays on your ROM hardware, making you phone dual-boot. Note: Android dose not run its best this way but you still get to use WM. This is how I have my phone now.
2. Android (NAMD) your phone runs Android from the ROM hardware. This is the best way to experience Android but only have Android on the phone as WM is replaced.
3. WP7 (NAND) your phone runs WP7 from the ROM hardware. This is the only way to experience WP7 and you will only have WP7 as WM is replaced.
All 3 options can be reversed. By installing your original ROM from a copy you keep on your PC.
Original ROMs are not cloned from your phone; instead you download them from the web and reinstall them on your ROM hardware. Think of it as a window installation CD.
Now for the bad news.
Until recently you could just go to the HTC web page and download your ROM for free using your phone serial number. But now that I am looking at the new page layout, I do not see an option to do that anymore.
The good News many people have posted HD2 original ROMs all over the internet so it maybe possible to get it from a next site.
I just need to know your full ROM version # so I can help you look for it.
Become a member of the XDA developers because most likely that’s where you going to have to get any ROM you want.
Any questions about what I posted feel free to ask.
hello Anthony.first of all i wanna thank u for being such a good help for Hd2 years for a long time.i have a question and i thought u r the most reliable source.
i wanted to know if u recommend installing android or win 7 Mango on HD2.if yea is there a way to keep the original ROM intact so that we could get back to it in case the cooked ROMs got too many bugs?
it would be really cool of u to post a link to a site that provides cooked ROMs in dual boot(so that we can keep the original rom) mode.
Digital Love, 16 Sep 2011hi anthony, thnx for the information, have 1 more question, can i update HTC sense to on my DH... moreI don’t know because I don’t have an android phone.
I do now you can change the U.I. by rooting your phone and changing the launcher.
But I can’t tell you where to get the HTC Sense 3.1 launcher from because I just don’t know.
hi anthony, thnx for the information, have 1 more question, can i update HTC sense to on my DHD to the one which is on HTC sensation (HTC Sense 3.1)?
digital love, 15 Sep 2011hi anthony, i wanted to know that why only hd2 can have android, why not hd7 phone can have an... moreThere are many reasons why you can’t install android on a HD7. here are 3 I can think of right of the bat.
1. Every device has boot up software that lunches the OS when you press the power button.
For an unaltered HD2 that software is “SPL”
To “install/bootup” an unofficial ROM “SSPL” & “HSPL” was created for the HD2. by programmers.
To “install/bootup” Android or WP7 “MAGLDR” was created for the HD2 by programmers.
As far as I know, no programmer has made boot software for the HD7 to allow it to install/bootup a ported Android.
2. The way the ROM hardware and SD card are formatted in RAID0 and with a random inscription for the WP7 OS, I don’t think to-date there is any way to get direct access to the ROM or the SD from a PC for the coping of files needed to install the Android OS. In addition to the fact that Android uses a (Fat format for data storage) and I am yet to read what in gods name format WP7 uses on a phone that came with WP7 by default.
3 all phones that came with WP7 by default are 1 hardware key short to work with android. What are you going to use as the “Menu key”? and almost every program has hidden menus in android.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2011can i update it to wp7You can’t officially change OS from WM6.5 to WP7 or Android
But unofficially you can do it. :)

Anthony, 12 Sep 2011HTC DHD came out in 2010 And can “only” run Android What makes you think it’s the best phon... moreThe hd2 can run Windows on it .I know cause had it on my phone and now I have Android . They both run well . Windows had a better touch . But I am more happy with android
Hey Anthony, trini boy here. I would like your advice on this please. I want to replace my screen(its scratched up pretty badly)so i contacted HTC repair service via email. I wanted to have an idea of the cost so, after giving needed info i was told that i hv to ship the phone to the nearest repair center(Colombia)and when they assess the phone, then they will send a quote stating the price. (all the while im paying for shipping to and fro). Is there a more ideal location or source i could send my phone to to have my screen replaced?
digital love, 12 Sep 2011hi, i am using desire HD, m happy with the phone, just have a question, i feel DHD is the best... moreHTC DHD came out in 2010
And can “only” run Android
What makes you think it’s the best phone HTC ever made when there are 2011 Android phones by HTC?
I would say HTC HD2 is the most versatile hardware HTC ever made because it came out in 2009 and can run WM6.5, the most up-to-date Android, and the most up-to-date WP7.
Which other phone made by HTC is capable of that?
X10HD2, 11 Sep 2011wtc one is better sony ericsson xperia x10 or htc hd2?? what should i buy ... They are both old phones now with outdated OS and not the best hardware spec on the market, so it comes down to which one has the OS that will meet your needs. Android 2.3 or Windows Mobile 6.5.
