High Tech, 20 Oct 2009On Clove it says 504.85 inc VAT. What is the cost in US dollars???? Is the phone english???Yes the UK version is an English version.
And yes clove can be trusted they are an authorised HTC dealer. Just go to www.htc.com
Click on where to buy
Pick United Kingdom from the list and you will see the site there.
And as I said before, I did buy my HD there and I got it on time and without a scratch.
(I do not live in the UK that is why i know about not paying the vat price)

ade3001, 19 Oct 2009is it true this will play my avi. files if it is, bravo htc for finally putting somthing i can... moreWindows mobile phones have been playing avi files a long time now. Have you ever heard of 3rd party players like coreplayer?
you guys dont knon what you're saying, this is the fastest phone as of now, check out the specs, it also has internal memory (512mb ROM). the only questionable thing here is the battery life, but i guess its battery will handle the OS and arm processor. they shoud've made it 1500
just a note, but solopalmari.com benchmarks for battery life. Using battery eater style test with full screen brightness and auto-settings they found:
HD: 7hours 24mins
HD2: 6hours 33mins
Touch2: 5hours 1min
Touch Pro 2: 4hours 46mins
as you can see, the HD2 comes out quite well! and remember, HTC will have an extended battery life pack that doubles the life of the device.
Why dont they have hard disk like in iphone?
If they have good internal memory (at least 8gb) that would be a lot better.
card is an option but still internal memory would be very great.
Craker, 19 Oct 2009I am reading too many things contradicting each other. I am a Blackberry (8900) and iPhone 3GS... moreI have the Pro2 that has a half processor speed of the TD2, and I had to soft reset it twice since Jul-09. The two cases that I had to soft reset was due to third party applications. After soft reset device is working fine.
New HTC WM are far better than the old ones, I gurantee that the HD2 is a way better and faster than the pro2, but I am not sure about the battery life. It has less juice than the pro2.
Darko, 19 Oct 2009Dont be sily.HTC HD2 doesnt need staylish becouse is has a big screen!I am reading too many things contradicting each other. I am a Blackberry (8900) and iPhone 3GS user. I use it heavily for e-mails, SMS, calls, and (sometimes) streaming music.
iPhone does not cut it for me. Blackberry is getting a bit too cumbersome. I am hoping to move to a Windows Mobile solution. Most importantly, input has to function like iPhone (no stylus, multi-point touch) and has to have the robust communication capabilities of a Blackberry with multiple e-mail accounts, SMS, MMS, still/video camera recording, and user-independent voice command.
Most important: It can not crash (like the BB).
Does anyone know if this phone will meet my deamanding requisites?
