Amoah, 30 Jul 2011Anthony,I forgot to ask in installing "Mango" do I need to install hspl 2.08 apart f... moreYes HSPL is needed.
Let me explain why in layman terms.
Think of you phone as a high end car..
SPL would be the ignition switch that will only allow a matching encrypted digital key to start it or access higher functions. The makers of un-official keys (a.k.a un-official ROMs) would never be able to easily duplicate your digital key. that's where HSPL comes in to play..... If you can't fake the key, change the lock. HSPL is a ignition switch like the one in the average car, works with a Simple key. No digital encryption at all. And very easy to bypass. Hope this helps others understand as well.

I love Windows but have to admit i've been hooked to Android for sometime now. Guess am greedy wanting both worlds lol.
Anthony,I forgot to ask in installing "Mango" do I need to install hspl 2.08 apart from installing Magldr 1.13? Not so sure as I've seen some posts mentioning the Magldr and the "mango"Rom only whereas others make mention of the three.

Amoah, 28 Jul 2011Hi,Anthony quick one here.what's your take on mango n will it worth porting the hd2 to it.I have not tried any of the bate versions of “Mango” but what I have read of it, it’s a step in the right direction. Still will not buy a new WP phone as yet (giving them 2 years to have a mature OS and better app market) but I don’t see nothing wrong in trying it for free. The HD2 RAM is a lot smaller than that of a WP phone so don’t expect miracles

arnomerc, 28 Jul 2011Hi Anthony,
I already have the ROM downloaded onto my pc. what next?Because that ROM is 3.14 you will also want to remove HSPL as well.
These are the steps.
1. use a program like 7zip (or a next decompression program) to extract all the files out of the ROM .exe file.
2. find the file RUU_signed.nbh and rename it leoimg.nbh (the file should be about 278mb is size)
3. copy that one renamed file to the root of your SD card.
4. power off the phone.
5. hold the “volume down” key and power on the phone. Keep holding the volume down key.
6. Release the volume key when you see the boot loader screen.
7. Follow the blue instructions that are displayed on the gray background.
Notes: the phone dose not need to be connected to the PC when you are doing this. You should have more than 50% battery power.
And don’t forget to remove the leoimg.nbh from your SD after you have restored your phone.
Let me know how it goes.

That version seems to need more horse power to run???? By then I will be ready to get my Android phone and Tablet... I hear the new slate of Android Tabs will have Quad Core???? Cannot wait....
Arnomerc, 26 Jul 2011my serial number for the HD2 is HT9axnw00622. kindly assist to reverse to Winmo.First step to returning your phone to windows mobile is downloading the original ROM from HTC. After a quick check I have matched your S/N to the link blow.
Download the ROM using your S/N and you have it let me know.

When you are in the MGLDR menu screen use the volume keys to navigate and the answer key as enter. You have to use the USB Flasher option to install the NAND android ROM from your PC with the phone connected to it.
If you have done all of the above tell me in detail of everything you did from the beginning. Don’t miss anything out, so I can see where you went wrong.
