Sam, 16 Nov 2010Beautiful phone, looks very nice, I'v owned both the HD1 and the HD2, and I hope HTC continues... moreWhere have U been????? Look at the HTC Desire HD (Same as HD2, but with Android)..........
Indian, 18 Nov 2010no multi touch and TV out ?? specification sounds old for a newly released phone..didnt expec... moreMultitouch is supported...
Hardware wise it's a beautiful handset, design from HTC as usual is first class !! I wish they would've put a secondary camera for video calls, other than that the windows 7 home screen could have been much better designed. Something similar to the (Android) home screen with HTC sense or like on the HD2 with the moving sun/clouds/rain would've made the win 7 op sys even better !!
this is a good phone but i think the desire better , get the desire.
no multi touch and TV out ??
specification sounds old for a newly released phone..didnt expect this from htc.
right now the Windows phone 7 os isnt completly defined... give it by christmas and a lot of the bugs will be fixed.. i hope, but right now the desire is a better phone
acer, 17 Nov 2010no videocall????exactly
no videocall????
Hi could anyone tell me which phone they think is better. The hd7 or desire? Thankyou

N, 16 Nov 2010Wow, I was gonna get this phone (currently have HD2) but no memory card slot is unforgivable! ... moreAs a real IT professional I will tell you this: buy USB flash, phone is not removable storage! And where did you find "3rd part computer" with microSD card reader and without bluetooth or WiFi? Or lead(?), whatever you meant by that.

I have purchased one of these from Carphone Warehouse here in London. They said it would arrive in about a week, so I'm waiting. I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S, but the "jerkiness" and "lag" have totally ruined the Android experience for me. Prior to that, I owned a Dell Streak - that was even worse.
This is just my personal opinion, but having owned an iPhone 3 for 2 years and currently owning an iPhone 4 and a Dell Streak and Samsung Galaxy S (and using the dev tools for all of the above), I find Android clunky. It has a very "unprofessional" (for want of a better word) feel to it. I'm not saying Android is a bad thing - it has much to offer. But for me personally, the "user experience" is horrible.
I'm going to be a pioneer and will give the HTC HD7 a shot, see if this can revive my mobile universe. I'm fully aware that many things are missing (like cut 'n paste etc) and that the app store is in its infancy, but I'm willing to wait so long as browsing is responsive and buttery smooth and there's full Exchange integration.
I also admire M$ for having the guts to jump into the mobile arena with something so new and original. I don't like the idea of lining that bald fatso Blamer's pockets, but this device looks so interesting that I'm going try it out for a while.
Wow, I was gonna get this phone (currently have HD2) but no memory card slot is unforgivable! As an IT professional there have been a few occasions when i need to download something to a card and transfer that to a 3rd part computer without a lead or bluetooth - with this it would be impossible...
what do you guys think about htc 7 surround and htc hd7? which one is better? please give me so recommendation.. thank you

This series (HD) is the perfect except one thing, the fact that HTC only puts windows on them, windows sucks, and I hope the HTC realizes this really soon, and starts putting more android on them
All the HD 7 or Windows Phone 7 cribbers remind of the days of iPhone 2G. You had the same whining. But then you had Installer come in and still there was whining. Grow up people. Microsoft have delivered a superb OS in comparison to iOS4.
Have patience and let it grow. Otherwise buy a phone that full fills all your daily demands. Im sure there are plenty out there, namely Android OS Devices!
I Love this phone it is really beautiful and high performanced !!!
Having seen this phone 'in the flesh', you just want to scrawl the word 'shame'! One thing still terrifies me, no memory card slot. Well their is but it looks like an 'invalidate your warranty one'. Come on HTC, surely if you can put flash browser into a desire, you can modify WP7 to have memory card support? Let's be honest the HTC HD2 has a slot I believe. This is a locked to windows servers phone aka Microsoft does Iphone clone!
A missed opportunity, HTC Desire HD anyone?
A great phone, but if you struggle to put your collection of vids and music on it, maybe there are a lot of plus points for Nokia N8 afterall (Am slowly warming to my N8, may have a small screen but with HDMI output no problem is it)
