Hmm... the #G band is mainly for AT&T but not T-Mobile ? wow, does this means this phone will be on ATT network?
it's about time htc realized the need for 3.5 mm headphone jack, no flash on the camera is hurtin, good job on screen res and processor/ram
I disagree with everything that has been said on the forum, and the poor, uninformed quality of the questioning. Therefore everyone should stop posting about this, or I will ask GSM Arena to force you to stop.
Y do people like Iphone? Y not the best phone which gives a mini comp in ur hand? Wats abt this application thing? Wats with Iphone apps thing?
Don't know why people like winmo so much, its rubbish. Symbian, mac os and android are far better platforms. I like the fact HTC is going with android, as in the future it will open more opportunities, especially once it takes off and more apps and stuff are available. Not a HTC fan myself, but I think it's positive as android has some powerful capabilities and they seem to be the ones most noticing that.
Oh my God! This is very ugly and pocket unfriendly!!! It looks like a brick in my pocket !!! NO 3rd party applications at all !!! Only a few on their site!! What a waste of my money !!
Is this a brick or a cell phone - the design is terrible. Everything else is amazing.
No iTunes! Excellent decision for HTC. Boy, that 5 megapixel camera's sweet! I love how it has that designer curve in the lower end, a shame that other people think of it as a banana (says a lot about them!). Teflon coating that even Gizmodo says makes the iPhone feel like a cheap piece of kit.
I've had an iPhone, a BlackBerry, and a Windows Mobile device, and at the moment, if you can live without the apps on the iPhone, this looks like the best deal you can get.
Trevor, 27 Jun 2009Alex what are you talking about. You obviously havent used an Android phone. The OS is certain... morei already had checked the android market website and all applications seem like a joke comparing to iphone app or windows mobile apps... plus they are so few !!
Alex what are you talking about. You obviously havent used an Android phone. The OS is certainly not slow. Offcourse Android has third party apps on the android market (equvalent to the app store). Check out the "IBM Seer" and "Layar" apps in youtube. (Android is leading the way in terms of augmented reality mobile apps)also visit http://www.android.com/market for a feel of what apps are avail for android phones, of which the HTC Hero is one.
why they curve these android devices so they look like bananas and look so bad in the pocket of your pants ??? its sooo ugly !!! plus why they push this operating system so much on the marked ?? i mean its very bad.. its not fast like appleos... it has no 3rd party app like win mobile... no gps applications... no nothing ... they suck ! please htc if you want to move to other os make your own or try to run win xp OR apple os !!
i saw over youtube a movie for a guy have got the firmware of the htc hero and he flashed it over google g1 mobile dont know how he have done that .
