ive had this mobile for a couple of months now and i must say it prob the worst handset ive had...i should of got a iphone......or the e71....i must say the e71 is a fantastic handset...i should of listened to will....but now i cry myself to sleep knowing that i did nt get a e71 :(:(
I have hero for 3 days...and i must say its better than i thought!
very very fast
the android os (i like it!)
the android market(many programs, games available most of them free)
any usb can charge the hero
hero can be used as an storage (sdcard) in many pcs without need of drivers(xp,vista, seven etc)
Only 2 things for now...
The battery..If you are an active hero user (browsing, sms etc) then the battery would not last long.
Around 12-16 hours.
After a month this time is increased by 2-3 hours
and if you search in google you can find ways to increase more the battery life.
I expected more from the 5MP camera...
but guys just look at moto dext and droid these are best android phone at market
hardik, 30 Oct 2009can any 1 tell me is this phone available in usa? at wat price? there are lots of places. got mine from http://mobilecityonline.com/ for a little over $500
Best phone I ever have. Except Bluetooth file transfer lack of capability.
On Android Market you will find anything an ordinary user will need.
In Romania I bought`it for 370 euro.
I look forward the soft update.
Den10, 30 Oct 2009Any rough estimates on when 2.0 will be releasing? in the UK in particular? No clue. But it should be interesting when it arrives

And for the flash support is not really too important, given that HTC will improve the overall picture and video (flash) performance with the update.
amazing phone, ive had loads phones in my life but this one suits me fine. very happy with the purchase
The Hero no having camera flash is due to the Android OS 1.5 lack of support. With the new Android OS 2.0, smart-phones running android can now implement camera flash into newly developed devices. So if there should be a Hero 2, i am certain it will have flash support, better blue-tooth support, etc. For more details, google the new android 2.0 online.
HTC did a good job developing this phone despite the little short coming of the OS, it remains one of the best android 1.5 phones to date.
For a phone that claim to be the first flash supported android device, they really need to improve the pos HTC flash player that seem to only capable of playing ads! Flash movie play like slide show on this device. I don't understand why is it so difficult to implement a full flash support browser. Even my old HTC touch cruise can play flash flawlessly with skyfire browser.
