Anonymous, 11 Oct 2009Hi boy :)
I want to ask, since you look smarter than 14 years old..
Can you put HERO ROM ... moreOH... i am really sorry, i am not that sure about the first qn.. I am not an IT expert though, not one who is computer smart, but one who is really good with HP specs and many more...
Actually, i was hoping i could be reviewing some phones and sort of these things... Anyway,
your second one was whether android phones working systems are good.
DEFINTELY they are. I am actually using the magic now... GOODS and BADS.. But obvious, many many more GOODs
No bluetooth transfer..
Battery life is quite short though,
i am not sure whether is it mine or the battery, but after usage to browser, the market, and downloading of applications, the battery will drain quite quickly like after one day after a full charge, you will need to charge again.
NOT SURE WHETHER IS IT BAD or GOOD, but to me, it is a good, that the whole body of the magic is glossy while the Hero is not. But i love the glossy-ness as it looks real nice.
moreover, there is the absence of the protruding chin. Take note,with the chin, you will have some pocket problems.
Video taking is not that good, but the pictures taken can be comparable to my previous 5mp phone! but it may be the screen resolution though..
Oh ya, sometimes, when you are not connected to wi-fi, it will do a short internet connection via your line with the service provider, for me ( Singtel ) and it may lead to charges of the data usage.
Android platform is made that it keeps all applications 'running'then after using the application, you either really exit it by pressing the back button or just leave it to run by pressing the home button.
I love the trackball
The android market was very organised, almost everything was free, you can also get free updates like now, from the 1.5 to the Donut 1.6 plus the search box and many more to come!
I think i have said those things that i liked and not liked about the magic, but to me, i love it.
After reading loads of reviews, following forums, was afraid to enter the android world... there were positive and negative things said about the hero... but after seeing the potential of android by playing with a friend htc dream i decided to take the plunge and say bye bye to my iphone 3g... With the default firmware the phone sometimes lag if you have many widgets open because they need to connect to the net and update... After applying the new firmware, the Hero was beyond recognition... as if a completely new phone... It became so damn fast... and very much more responsive... me who has used iphone nearly one year feels the same response from the hero now but without any restrictions like the iphone... The are so much possibilities with android and the way HTC has customized it... it would take some time for me to switch to another phone using the hero... definitely recommends and if you love mp3 change the default headphones and you would love the fine sound quality.... This phone really rocks and i forget to say that the photos don't do justice to the phone's appearance.. the hero is damn sexy....
It is possible to link this phone with Exchange server via one of the many Android Apps. Really excellent phone
singapore starhub mobile provider running out of stock.. back order now

I want to ask, since you look smarter than 14 years old..
Can you put HERO ROM to MAGIC in singapore,
so it can have sense UI, multitouch, and blue tooth on MAGIC. Coz I saw it on youtube..
I'm Indonesian and here we still on stone age here and don't even have android market, and google apps. So it's basically just use the phone for calls, SMS, and MMS. How really good is that for Android phone??
so I'm planning to buy MAGIC (if the answer to above question is yes) in Singapore.
Thanks for reply, or anybody whom happens to have the knowledge on this issue please help me out (:
is this phone good? Switching my attention from E72 to this one (just really dunno how long need to wait for E72)
Instead of a iphone, I cought a htc hero about 7 days ago. Very user friendly but there are some functional weaknesses, including bluetooth only good with headset pairing and can't do phone to phone transfer, outlook and phone syn is very slow and inefficient, phone book is not too user friendly.
Im wondering how good the Andriod OS is, is it user friendly like windows or is it confusing? Im thinking of getting a HTC Hero...
The rom update has improved the camera, its much faster. the fps for video recording has also improved, so ignore the 15fps listed in the specs here, it should be ammended
* keeps loosing connection
* tried with 3 different wf-fi networks
* I cannot put the Hero in my pocket and listen with a headset
* there is a bad connection
* Cannot show thestart and end time for long MP3 files

Chickenrice, 09 Oct 2009hey all, cant really decide whether to buy magic or hero... the price difference is almost Sin... moreS'pore too. HTC Hero has a better battery quality, diff of 10mAh. So you should be able to get a better battery life in the Hero. However, if you are not very concerned about the battery quality and the camara quality (3mp Magic, 5mp Hero), i think the magic is better since the price diff is so huge. However, the HTC hero has a chin shape which may not be everyone's favorite. The Magic then do not have the chin of the Hero. Hope there is help there. :)
hey all, cant really decide whether to buy magic or hero... the price difference is almost Singapore$200 ... Can someone tell me the good thing about hero beside it looks really pretty.. :)
