Anonymous, 01 Aug 2009Does anyone know the maximum memory this handset will hold?16gb
Note to anyone in the UK signing up to orange for this handset.
Buy over the phone, not online or instore. I was close to signing up online, but had a few questions I wanted answering before I proceeded to buy. Surprisingly, the prices are cheaper over the phone for some reason, the sales guy didn't know why, perhaps the website doesn't get updated immediately. The website offered this handset for £146 on the tariff I chose, but over the phone it was actually £97, also no delivery charge unlike buying online.
Web and telesales also offer 12 month contracts, not available instore, for those that don't want to sign their lives away to one handset.
Hope that helps any potential buyers.
Cheers
Sorry. jumped the gun. You require 'Internet Plus' for the G2 which does have a 3Gb fair usage limit.
Just been doing a bit of checking on the T-Mobile site and it says the fair usage limit for data (no mention of G2) is 1Gb. This is different to what I was told in store. So now I'm not sure if the sales guy was just spinning me a line. It's still better than Orange though.
Was in T-mobile yesterday. They have a fair usage limit on data of 3Gb per month. Orange are 500Mb. With the iphone O2 also have a fair usage policy but specify no limit. Something to consider.

There are many people there who have the Hero. None really say anything about lag unless you have 7 pages filled up with widgets then you can sometimes get a small delay but really isn't that to be expected with all that running?
So... this phone has been out for a couple of weeks now. Rather than just going by reviews regarding the lag issue, or pre/post production model. Can those that have bought it tell us if they are experience any lag or other issues.
I've ordered mine with Orange, should be here next week. Any UK orange users experiencing any problems?
Thanks
