got my magic yesterday and was very pleased with it, android runs brilliantly on it. I am disapointed in the lack of bluetooth functionality also a function that would be useful(as im sure many people will have used it) would be sms forwarding. Also paid apps are still not available in the uk that is a bit frustrating!
Been having a play with the phone for a couple of days. It's great fun to use. Had an iPhone before, but this OS is every bit as good, if not better. There's no lag, it runs everything really smoothly and the screen is very responsive. Not only is it responsive, but the colours are rich and bright even in direct light. And with so many apps now available in the Market, for free, you can't go wrong with this phone! Ps. Was awaiting a Touch HD to compare and then pick a winner. Cancelled the Touch HD. This is a winner!
I am using HTC Touch Dual right now and want to change it now. I am confused if i should by HTC Touch Cruise 09 or HTC Magic. The reason is that wheni buya HTCi try to use it for atleast a year so i am confused which one to get? As i have more than 1500 contacts in my HTC Phone book. and i use Word Documents a lot.
nicksti, 01 May 2009According to HTC Magic specifications taken right form the page: Connectivity Bluetooth® ... moreI assume that you mean it is headset only, I heard from voda store that it does support the file transfer aswell, is that what you mean?
According to HTC Magic specifications taken right form the page:
Bluetooth® 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate
Wi-Fi®: IEEE 802.11 b/g
HTC ExtUSB™ (11-pin mini-USB 2.0 and audio jack in one)
So it would appear it has the same crap bluetooth as the iPhone. This is a deal breaker for me unless they have an "app for that".
Awesome phone, GOOGLE ANDROID!!!!!:X I am not a HTC fan, but this phone is the one of the best in the world. The single missing thing is the flash.
does anyone know if you can change the font size on this handset? if so what can you scale it up to?
Awaiting delivery today. Vodafone have 400 in stock for the UK and mine is on the way! Will post some comments when I've had a play with it.
thainese, 29 Apr 2009when will this phone come out for T-Mo in US? it doesn't seem that there is a 1700/2100 Mhz AWS band on this phone. I'd hate to burst ur bubble but it seems that seeing this phone on T-Mobile US is going to stay a pipe dream (and i'd rather be wrong in this case, cuz i would like to see this phone on T-Mobile also)
