Bought the HTC ONE (Black/32GB) 10 days ago. It would be difficult not to come across as biased, but the HTC ONE is built for users who will settle for nothing less than a premium device with staggering performance.
Most of the features like BlinkFeed which incorporate all your social networking and news feed onto the main home-screen is fantastic. Needless to say, this will only appeal to those who USE social networking sites/like to have news from various sources accessible at the tip of u'r fingers.
The display is fantastic to say the least. Excellent contrast ratio results in sharp images and almost 3-D like quality while watching video content or even live streaming of sports events in HD format. HTC Sense 5.0 has the right balance of being user-friendly and remarkably flexible in terms of customizing various apps/widgets to your heart's content.
Considering the fact the handset is running a quad-core processor and 2GB Ram..churning out in excess of 400+ pixels on its magnificent HD display, battery life cannot be taken for granted. To put it simply, ever heard of a Ferrari that gives you more mileage than a hatchback??
The external feel and look of the HTC ONE is a fantastic balance of sleek premium design, with highly durable exterior.
Truth of the matter is, there will be 1 HTC ONE for hundreds of S4's . Simply because it takes someone with an evolved, matured and knowledgeable acumen to appreciate the finer details..besides the obvious.
This is by far one of the best handsets I've ever used, completely satisfied
astounding device ... can't heap enough praise on it... with the ability to integrate my TV/DVD and Cable TV remotes into my phone , puts it way over the top in terms of utility.
Major downside ..... HTC covers ( double dip / flip case) is over priced and very poor quality

Moiz, 25 Jun 2013Hii friend i plan to Buy phone but i cant understand which phone i will buyy gs4 or htc one pl... moreBuy HTC One. Don’t buy S4.
S4 suffers from below issues,
Storage shortage issues.
Battery life issues
Performance issues (lags with bloatwares)
Design and quality issues (cheap design)
And S4 has more issues………
HTC One is thousand times better than plastic S4 :)
not sure about this mobile, when I was using htc previously, cant change the input method to google ime.
it is important in the east asia to be able to type in Chinese and English language.
I would not pay an additional sum that large for a second speaker. in fact, I wants to ask myself how many time I would like to use those speakers to share audio with friends.
have tested it at a local store and feel I would give it a pass.
i love this design but the sceen are too smaller pehaps it should making it biggest size display screen that much better
saalnaz, 25 Jun 2013Maybe s3 and s4 are inferior. :)I also noticed that note2 NFC doesnt work w/ S3 and S4, kinda odd.. I should try pairing and check my HTC One w/ sony or LG NFC capable phones.. keep you posted guys:)
brazil, 25 Jun 2013you're must be on the wrong page.... this is HTC One best phone on the marketwhat I meant was: I always pair my HTC One to my wife's SGN2 thru NFC and it always works, as well w/ my friends note2, but its not working w/ SG3 and SG4.. any issues, or bugs w/ NFC that I dont know? it should be working w/ all NFC capable phones right?
Anonymous, 25 Jun 2013Rubbish, this phone doesn't overheat...much smoother than the s4's I've tried. How much is Sam... moreI have had the phone since it came out and yes it does heat up from time to time but does not cause any freezing, I was outside listening to a podcast in the sun and I got this little guy up to 59 degress lol but hey it didnt stop or freeze plus the metal allows it to cool down in a few minutes. Saying ti gets hot is not somthing samsung would pay them to say, its a fact but never effects the phone negativly.
Doug777, 25 Jun 2013Got mine two weeks ago from Vodacom. My first HTC. Awesome phone. I stay in Pretoria East so vodacom & mtn said they are waiting for the phone to come. where do you stay? I will wait though. HTC for life no matter what

carter, 25 Jun 2013HTC one is a good phone, howevr it tends to heat a lot.....resulting in the h/s freezing most ... moreNever had the One ever lockup? no heat/thermal issues at all. If anything the alloy case acts as a nice thermal heatsink!
The 4MP on HTC One is no issue. I set my DSLR to low res too. It's all about optics and speed of the lens. Pack your 50MP behind cheap plastic and it shows. Jumbo prints are very decent and low light performance is very good. Awesome construction, just don't drop. Apps are minimal and customize-able to great extent. Ave batery power 40hrs vs my iPhone5 14 hours.
Sparta, 25 Jun 2013Please Guys which mobile phone should I go for Iphone 5 or HTC one? and why? please help me outI had an iPhone5 for 4days then back to Note2. Poor battery life, poor wifi reception and small screen my biggest gripes. I have the HTC one for 2 weeks now. Best phone IMO. Battery gives me average 50 hours to iPhone 14 hours. No bloatware. Just the apps you need. Camera and display very decent.
