I've been to HTC concept store yesterday to check out the HTC One. Superb display and audio. Camera is good but I haven't check it in low light since the store is well lit. I opened sounds, video, camera w/ zoe and I feel a slightly heat under the camera.
Most of us wished to have the Black HTC One but when I see it, I've seen that Silver is sexier. Silver always looks neat and clean while the Black is just gorgeous on the front but the back is a mess with fingerprints which is annoying for a beautiful phone. Stealth Black should be Ip68 so you can always clean it in water.
I've decided to buy this phone as soon as the 64gb is available.
P.S. I've seen a girl w/ a Samsung GS3 today, (no offense since this is HTC thread) and while browsing facebook I've noticed lags and delays in scrolling up and down. S3 has quad core inside and I hope HTC One and S4 will not be the same.
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?Yeah it's correct, read up on the "Ultrapixel" feature
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?Nah, it's a typo. Supposed to say 4UP (UltraPixel)
4MP it is but technology is ultra pixel its a awesome picture quality, the sensor size are big that y 4mp ultra pixel=15MP its tested trust me this is the best camera Phone r8 now great HTC ONE.
Chebulla, 27 May 2013The camera is indeed RECESSED unlike some *cough* other *cough* phones ;)The camera lense is further in the phone yes but the glass covereing it is not and remains flush with the back thus scratching it if you slide it around on somthing. In the end if you dont want a case then it is what it is, do not have the phone protected it will get damaged in the end im sure its a pretty simple concept. Otterbox commuer is the way to go.
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?my understanding is that they've done something different to make the pixels take in more light so that even though it's 4mp it's no longer on the same scale as the cameras that the other companies use. it seems like it's on par with the 13mp samsung uses (though samsung's photo quality looks a bit better based on comparisons you can find online)
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?Yep Dude but It's pixels use bigger ones compared to other smartphones. They are 2 microns versus 1.3 microns. The result is that it catches 300 light more and better low light camera quality.
Anonymous, 27 May 2013I recently bought the HTC One and I'm really disappointed with it. Doesn't seem to sync my ca... moreYou say " and apparently to download apps such as Solitaire, you need to give permission for them to access all your phone calls! Wish I'd gone with an iPhone or stuck with my reliable old Blackberry" Ya no kidding it accesses your phone calls in case your playing the game and a call comes in, you need to understand permissions before getting parinoid, and heres a new flash all phones require permissions its just the iPhone and others dont tell you what they are when you download things due to it all being filed under the user aggrement so do you want to know what apps will have access to and understand why or just click download and not know, get a grip man.
4MP but it is Ultrapixel, check out some of the example pictures, they are the best in low light. For good light conditions you get a fairly good 4MP camera.
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?Yes, because HTC uses new approach called Ultrapixels. It's not just about pixels but it's about the light you can get into each pixel. Here is a picture I have take with my One
How to protect the camera with out a casing? I dont like to put a casing because i want the metal body look of the phone
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?yeah 4MP cam.........its som kinda new technology called ultra pixels.........gives the same quality like 10MP+
googly, 27 May 2013only 4MP primary camera? is it correct?yes but its ultra pixel unlike the usual mega pixel...still a pretty decent camera
Just had my HTC One and it's simply great, I wont be exaggerating if I said this is the best phone I had my hands on since ever. The phone is simply stunning it's a beast with great specs yet wrapped up in a sexy design. The phone has an amazing screen with 469 pixels per inch and that outperforms any other screen on any other device out there, the sound can't be described in any other word than BOOM Sound, when you hear you'll just get stunned by how a mobile device can have such load yet very clear sound and I mean it "loud yet very CLEAR". All this combined with a powerful processor and 2GBs of RAM with a good battery life and an aluminum body this phone is simply the best. The new camera approach is HTC has taken and called Ultrapixels is really smart, it's not the pixels which matters in the image but it's the amount of light each pixel can take. My camera shoots wonderful photos no matter how is the light. You really can't go wrong with this phone you are a winner.
