Visa, 26 May 2013In South Africa cost R13,000,00. which is tantamount to $1299thats the problem with taxation..SA is too highly taxed..
i recall i was there on my honeymoon, i have bought this cellini suitcase from my home and i said it must be cheaper in SA since its where the brand is from, but to my surprise, it was alot more expensive than home. i got to know later about all the taxation and whatnot in the SA system...if you are a traveler, the best thing is to buy these things from abroad and bring them home not to get taxed...
I like the specs .. I should have bought this instead of my desire X but not saying desire X is bad .. i still like my phone :)
I recently bought the HTC One and I'm really disappointed with it. Doesn't seem to sync my calendar properly, and apparently to download apps such as Solitaire, you need to give permission for them to access all your phone calls! Wish I'd gone with an iPhone or stuck with my reliable old Blackberry.

brynn, 26 May 2013HTC is not doing good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22654037Eric Lin is now jealous cause HTC One is doing well
I bought my HTC One from Sprint, I was hoping that Verizon would carry it but I couldn't hold my breath that long. After 3 years my ancient Samsung Galaxy S1 was dying on me and I seriously needed a replacement. I decided to get mine through Sprint and I am utterly glad with my decision to purchase the HTC One. Sure, it only has 32GB of memory but if you get your HTC One from either Sprint or T-Mobile, you get a free 25GB storage from Dropbox. The non-replaceable battery is not an issue for me since in the past I never really replaced my batteries and by the time the HTC One's battery needs to be replaced it would also be time for me to replace my phone. Overall I just love my phone. I tried out the Galaxy S4 but could help accept the fact that the One has the better build quality and the screen is a lot better as well. I highly recommend this phone if you are looking to get a new mobile phone.
Currently using Incredible S. A good handset, only one flaw. Actually It's common to many HTC handsets. It doesn't show outgoing call waiting notification. I mean when I call someone who (had already activated call waiting notification) is on an active call, the display doesn't show call waiting notification. Dudes, please notice I'm not talking about incoming call waiting notification.
I have googled and found that handsets from some other manufacturers e.g. Sony, Samsung etc show this notification. This notification is too important for me. I find it awkward to call someone repeatedly when he is already in an active call.
Does HTC One approach in the same way? Hope to get a feedback from any user.
i got this phone 3 weeks and install more than 10 custom rom non of the rom better than the original rom. now i stay with the stock rom and finding out alot of new thing on this phone love it now. at first i thought ios is the best but than now i knew android got more than ios..
PLZ tell me the difference between htc one taiwan version and htc one chaina version.any huge or notable difference?in dubai only sets (made in chaina written on the box) are available.thnx
bought this phone the other day and last night while I was charging it, 2nd time since I bought it. I found my phone shut down, red blinking LED and the unit was hot. Since then I cant turn it on anymore, when I charge its just the blinking red LED, still gets hot, tried the volume down+power button to hard reset but not doing anything, tried wall and PC charge too :( The bad thing is that Its brand new and cant get it fixed since im out of town for 2weeks :(
Have the T-Mobile version, no carrier branding :) bought this phone because the screen on this phone is awesome, think of the iPhone 5 brightness but much shaper and bigger. Wanted to wait for an iPhone with a larger screen but now I don't have to. Compared the screen on the galaxy s4 and this phone is so much nicer, galaxy s4's screen is too dark it's brightness level is not compareable to the iPhone or this phone. I have to admit I thought the s4 screen was going to be better but I'm completely wrong
Well i bourgth the htc one last week my first impession what really catch my eyes is its design very nice looking phone i testet the phones functionalty and apps which are preinstalled on the one first of all the camera has rich functionality but resolution of 4 mp is to low compaire to my xz and sgs 4 which i also have and there is no support for micro sd card slot and you cant remove the battery and it is a bit dificould to put in a simcard you have to use htc reject toole for to get that done i never seen this on a phone and the soundquality is good but not as good i would like when useing headset specially bosse or koz porta pro which are pretty good headsets this and there is no manuall equalizer only beats audio if all of this would have been included in the package the one would be the best phone on the market all of thoes things you find in the sgs 4 and sgs 4 is cheaper so do also xperia z and thoes are the 2 best phones on the market at the momment but the htc one is by no means a bad phone next time htc produce such a phone please include all this things iam talking about here and you come with better updates in timely maner then you company will rice again but not like it is now
