Bigben, 13 May 2013I tested my New HTC One this weekend. I had a galaxy note 1. The camera quality is excellent. ... moreThe camera on this phone is awful. Looks ok on the phone screen until you zoom in.
All camera reviews of this phone compared to the GS4 or iPhone ALL agree that the ONE has the worst camera, except when there's no light or very little light.
I confirmed the camera sucks when I went to check the phone. This is very easy to check for yourself.
The HTC ONE has a cheap glued on piece over the speakers. First time you drop it, it will fly off across the room.
Camera is terrible also for anything other than posting on Facebook.
Close but no cigar.
All current "flagship" phones suck in one way or the other.
AnonD-52960, 12 May 2013Amazing phone.the best phone ever.I like everything in this phone.it's my first day with One b... moregive your phone about a week to calibrate the battery. if a bit worried after that, download one of the battery improver apps (juice defender or the snapdragon one) then run it again for several days until you get the desired results. im still in the phase of running the juice defender.
Didi, 12 May 2013Hmm, i am thinking about one or S4. Has everybody problem whit overheating?i did feel overheating but it shouldnt be a concern from what i read in one technical review about the phone.
it says it could be related to an app which is not going well with the system causing the system to overheat. also, it sais both S4 and HTC one overheat but infact, technically, it explained that overheating for aluminum was a much desired thing than overheating of plastic. and finally it said if you want to not to feel it a cover should do the job.
so basically its a not a biggie.
the phone is a beauty though.
Bigben, 13 May 2013I tested my New HTC One this weekend. I had a galaxy note 1. The camera quality is excellent. ... morei agree with your sentiments. its a wonderful phone. i have some concerns of the battery but i have downloaded the juice defender as some are claiming it will help the battery life. you can imagine what a battery hog a device like this will be. its literally like a PC in your hands with a TV, gaming console thrown into the mix. for the screen you have on this phone and the other nice features you would expect it to drain the battery. i will know after days if the juice defender is working.
D'angpet, 13 May 2013so HTC now orders its phones from Foxconn who in turn ask their subcontractors in Bangladesh t... morei hope you got that off your chest...now you can go and rest...
i dont know what the issue with some people is...if someone wants an aluminum cover he will get it..regardless of what you say..i bought the HTC one for my wife and im planning to get one for myself :)
so HTC now orders its phones from Foxconn who in turn ask their subcontractors in Bangladesh to do it for them, just the same they are doing to iphone5.
This HTC is a downgrade because it now uses the cheap aluminum case, unlike the other HTC that uses expensive polycarbonate glass, otherwise known as bulletproof plastic. A ton of aluminum cost a few dollars, but a ton of polycarbonate costs thousand of dollars. But that's only polycarbonate. Go up to the level of xperia z for instance or blackberry and you have the synthetic ceramic that houses girls fancy ceramic watches. super premium virtually indestructible. Aluminum and HTC equals cheap. just like every iphone that is so cheaply made with obsolte cpu and ordinary glass and then using an obsolte os but sold a million times profit margin from their actual production cost of US$30.00 thirty dollars in bangladesh cottage industry.
WookieInHeat, 12 May 2013beats audio = gimmick most smartphones have gimmicks but they don't usually advertise their... moreu dont kno anything abt fones.probably an apple or sammy fanboy..ive ditched my iphone 5 and xperia z for this and i dont regret a bit this is a monster device
I tested my New HTC One this weekend. I had a galaxy note 1. The camera quality is excellent. Very fast camera, no out of focus pix captured. The face tracking is very fast. Low light (you use it most of the time in low light( was excellent, the flash doesn't even go off.
The screen is too clear. Seriously, the white and coulours are very natural. Screen refresh rate is awsome.
The battery life is also very good, can easily go throught two to 3 days of little use, big use about a day and half.
I would not go too much into all the technical stuff comparing to s4. I always do, but decided to go with my gut feeling and am I a happy customer :-)

Didi, 12 May 2013Hmm, i am thinking about one or S4. Has everybody problem whit overheating?htc one.
Just bought the HTC One in China. Good thing is that here you can get it with 2 sim cards, change the battery and have a Sd-Card.
Still the camera is not very good but doesn't matter because I never use it anyway,
I just got this phone and have been using for 5 days now. Absolutely awesome phone just that I am having issues with the BACK button as it is not as responsive at times. Other than that, I'm not having any problems Everything runs smoothly!
To all HTC lovers. I must say that the Butterfly is awesome. I am connected to Telstra in Melbourne Australia and I am pulling up to 25mb per second download. So why worry about 4G. In addition to the 16gb internal memory I have installed a 64gb micro sd card which works like a charm. So one would ask why go for a limited 32gb HTC ONE when the Butterfly kills it in looks, build, and some specs. Awesome Phone and highly recommended.
i cant beleave my eyes !!! how it could be such a new and excelent mobile come with 4mp camera only..its quality is very bad...this cant be r they jocking or i missed something?????????
beats audio = gimmick
most smartphones have gimmicks but they don't usually advertise their gimmicks in writing on the phone itself, that's tacky. this phone will appeal to rappers and wiggers who think 22" spinners on a broke ass caddy is a good idea.
well, yes , you are absolutely right , but I never listened any overheating issues from any HTC One user!
