A very good phone but HTC can sometimes get in way over their heads. A 4MP camera, seriously? If you were to zoom in you would find absolutely no fine details, which is simply not good, compared to other flagship devices launched in 2013. The camera is the only sore point in the device, however unlike the Xperia Z(poor loudspeaker, somewhat poor screen) and the S4(dated design, plastic back cover), this actually looks like a deal-breaker.
It's quite sad that a very good manufacturer decides in their time of need to make elementary mistakes. I can only hope that HTC survives enough to avoid making such blatant errors in the future.
When is the 4.2.2 upgrade coming to the American market? Also, what is this camera upgrade I've been reading about?
For those who own this phone.Does this has a notification lights for Call,Missed call and Messages.? Thnak you.

[deleted post]If you're referring to the size of mobile, S4 isn't bigger than One... or barely, at least. with a bigger screen

Amazing just how much are people willing to forgive from a phone that looks well and is sold by a struggling company. I am not suggesting that the One is a bad phone, not at all. It is almost as good as the S4 in almost all ways, but the camera.
Wake up, everyone! Ultrapixels or not, low res=low details. This is immediately visible if you were to zoom in. Don't tell me nobody will do this, because there are many who want to edit photos taken with their smartphones, or who want to take pictures of written papers, to read. Detail is vital here, and the HTC One simply does not deliver. Stop trying to deny the facts. The One is a good phone, but the bad camera simply doesn't cut it for a device hailed as "The best Android phone ever".
I really want this phone but it still hasnt arrived here.
I might get tired of waiting and buy the S4.
But from the looks and reviews, its worth the wait.

If you're just looking at photos on the display or on your monitor they are great, but if you want to crop something sometimes 4MP is not enough. This reminds me how, 3 years ago, Nokia said that "8 megapixel fixed focus" was enough for most people/uses... But people wanted autofocus.
