., 13 Apr 2013U have no idea what u are talking about. 4k tvs might be here already, but u say it will be a ... moreI think his point about 4k TVs being a trend in 2 years is valid. In fact, I think is less than that. Maybe in a year.
I just bought one. As a consumer, it doesn't matter how many programs, movies or films are adapting the standard now. What I care is if my new TV equip with the latest technology, how ready for the future and how long can it last before outdated. Remember the "HD-Ready" during the LCD era? We don't change TV often. Technology last the longer the better. Naturally if within budget, people will go for 4K. I was told 4K Tv is selling like hot cake compare to oled. Whether the technology is ready or not, people just buying the hardware.
Of course, I like the premium feel too. When visitor to my house: "Wao you got a 4K TV!" feel good
96tharusha, 13 Apr 2013HTC One camara is better than others? In low light yes, in daylight no. But still it can be compared.
Does anyone know of the availability of the Black model? (Is there any distribution issues or anything) It really is the better looking by far in my opinion but i cant find any network in my country (Ireland) that is currently selling them in anything other than the silver... :( I hope its only temporary because i dont want to be forced to buy the silver model if the black will be available soon....
., 13 Apr 2013U have no idea what u are talking about. 4k tvs might be here already, but u say it will be a ... moreThe 4K UltraHD (8 megapixel) trend is already started. I said prevalent in 2 years is consider conservative. Almost all major Hollywood movies and TV shows are already filmed in 4K or even 5K.
This year the predict shipment of 4K tv is 2.6 million (40 fold of 2012) *Refer below. It surplus the sales of OLED.
Consider 2014 another 40 fold of 2013: 2.6 million x 40 = 104 million
Consider 2015 another 40 fold of 2014: 104 million x 40 = 4160 million
World's first 4K TV channel is already live in Europe by Eutelsat, a French-based satellite provider. Japan, UK, Apple iTV will start in 2014.
Doesn't matter it prevalent in 2 or 3 years, it is still a very near future. The main point is, picture capture by HTC One camera 4UP/MP is outdated. I bet HTC will upgrade the camera to 8UP for their next flagship (they cannot avoid the trend) and the current HTC ONE is just a guuinea pig project.
I wanted to provide all the supporting matterials for your reading but this comments section doesn't allow. So I just pick a few:
4K LCD TV panel shipments to increase 40-fold (2.6 million) in 2013
Ultra HD is already making big inroads into the world of digital cinema; almost all major Hollywood movies and TV shows are filmed in 4K - or even 5K.
Japan to transmit 4K super HD TV in 2014 and 8K in 2016
World's first 4K TV channel is now live in Europe. Eutelsat, a French-based satellite provider, has just begun broadcasting in 4K on a demo channel.
JJ, 12 Apr 2013Does it support flash ???? this is really important for me ...on the specifications it only sa... moreYes it does u will need to switch it on your man htc web browser just go to settings. If you use 3rd party like chrome u wont be able to.
oppo, 12 Apr 2013i have a new htc one and i hate it... the camera is a crap as well as the display...im feel so... moreI'll buy it off you, save you from your misery cause we all know how you must feel holding a premium phone and despising it so.much that the latest hardware cannot satisfy your needs
ron072, 12 Apr 2013jzac..kindly tel me about its heating factor? does fone gets heated quickly? on limited usage? It not heat much. It get heat only continually web browsing about 40 min. Only small heat that even not felt that much. The battery life of the phone is superb. I charged the phone yesterday around 8.30 A.M. now battery still remains 60% today 9.00 A.M. after 50min web browsinng, 15 talk time and around 30 min gaming.
4K TV UltraHD, 12 Apr 2013You are wrong. 4K TV (UltraHD) is 8 megapixel.
... moreU have no idea what u are talking about. 4k tvs might be here already, but u say it will be a trend in 2 years? Wrong. How many programs do you know with 4k res? How many movies?Anything? Everyone is using full hd now, and there are no signs that it will change soon, except for the 4k tvs. They are practically of no use now. And trust me, it will take much more time for the film and tv industry to adapt to this standard.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2013do u think there will be an update android 5.0 coming to this phone???I'd say that's not a question at all. Of course it will be.
xyphr, 12 Apr 2013Read my post again, I said "until 4k TV is available"Oh Sorry. Overlooked :)
Does it support flash ???? this is really important for me ...on the specifications it only says HTML5 ,but nothing about flash ,like other htc phones
xyphr, 12 Apr 2013Good point...however the size of the TV doesn't matter...whether its 46" or 100" it'... moreYou are wrong. 4K TV (UltraHD) is 8 megapixel.
HTC One 4MP camera's picture will be outdated very soon. 4K TV (UltraHD with 8MP) is the trend. Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp already started to market them. It will be prevelent in about 2 years.
I think 4UP/4MP is just HTC first product to test the water. It will be changed to 8UP/8MP very soon when HTC release the next flagship phone. I don't want to be the guinea pig when considering the future and my pictures.
