Then u can talk about cameras. On a camera is not important the amount of pixels. What is the most important is the size of the senzor. And the HTC ONE has the bigger senzor out there. U dont need a 13 mpx camera.... when are u printing a 13mpx photo ? 2mpx its already FULL HD quality...
Don`t talk about cameras if u don`t know the concept.
You are induced in error by marketings of camera photos in the last years.
A camera isn`t better if it has mach pixels, is better if it has bigger senzor.
some people say that htc one is better for low light images
but i feel that if u want a phone for better low light images then i prefer lumia 920
no other mobile camera can compete 920
I would say its not number of pixels per. Its about number of information per pixel.
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2013It has ultrapixel, others dont have it...Ultrapixel is useless when it is only 4 because now is not the year 2008 when most mobile phones still using 4 to 5 MP.
Now is 2013, we need minimum 8 Ultrapixel and above.
HTC introduces Ultrapixel is good and innovative, but putting only 4 to the camera is a big mistake. Most of the cost to manufacture the one already gone to the casing. This is sad. HTC should save some for the camera and give us at least 8UP to compete or on par with the rest.

Now, with HTC One, ther's no problem. Even the girls say those are really good photos and they complain against everything, especially photos. Now I can retouch them as soon as I take them. make them even skinnier, they like that so much :)

I am just saying my own opinion. I'm not going to sell my One because I think future updates will improve the camera quality a bit. My Xperia Z can take better photos in burst mode but not at all time.

As both camera are high MP, its already cross the line of noticeable blur image that suffer from most less MP camera.
Now we are talking about 4MP vs 13MP. HTC is in the low MP range. The difference is very huge.
1) When you ZOOM IN to see the image, there is a big different in sharpness. ONE's image is blur. Loss most details. Image is "uneditable" - too low quality to be considered for edit.
2) When you STRETCH the image, ONE's image is extremely blur. HTC One camera is OK for NOW only. Not for the future.
Nowadays display is getting bigger and bigger each year. It is common to have 46-60 inches LED TV in my place nowaday. You will be sorry if you choose a 4MP (which is about 8MP and lower) camera now, when you have the choices (which is the trend this year 2013) to get a 13MP camera which already equip in most flagship 2013 phone. Your precious moments capture in a 4UP/4MP will be forever in this low quality. You have to consider the future. 5 years down the road, when you watch it on, perhaps 100 inches OLED, it is ugly. It is the trend, not only the TV, the laptop, tablet, monitor all will increase in size year after year. With 13MP, the picture still look decent in the near future but 4UP/4MP will be a joke. If HTC ONE comes with a 8UP camera, then it's a different story. I will jump in. But definitely not with a 4UP.
2013 flagship model (The trend NOW)
LG Optimus G Pro - 13MP
Samsung Galaxy S4 - 13MP
Sony Xperia ZL - 13MP
Sony Xperia Z - 13MP
iPhone 5s - News said will also be 13MP
Huawei Ascend P2 - 13MP
ZTE Quantum - 13MP
ZTE Nubia Z5 - 13MP
Nexus 5 - News said will also be 13MP
and the list go on ..........
How often do you need to shoot low light image? Most of the time No. Is the ONE low light image as bright as with the light on? Of course not. Then why need to emphasize low light so much? hmmm..ur.. coz HTC said this is a selling point.
It is just a little tiny bit better in low light compare with other brand camera. Personally, I think it is overly stress.
this is not good enough to compare with other models of phones today.. camera is to low 5mp only.. and card slot is not available. you can maximize the use of this fone.
No phone can beat this phone this year. This phone is selling like hot cake in UK.
HTC One is best selling Smartphone in Amazon UK.
All users saying the best phone that they had is HTC One and camera experience is superb.
HTC One is the Best Smartphone for 2013 :)

AnonD-134564, 11 Apr 2013worried about its camera quality , balance all are very perfect Camera is the main features in the one so dont worry about image quality its not because it only have 4 mp, the secret is in the lense, sensors, automatic 5 lvl of flash depend to d distance when capturing image, and what they call ultrapixel that have a lot of micron per pixel,
4 mp camera of the one can stand out 8-13mp, its not about the numbers. Higher pixel/higher byte size,
Its like on professional camera nikon d800 w/36mp better than sony a99 w/24mp??

Anyone using the HTC one? How about the camera, does it take good enough pictures in day light outdoor as the HTC one x?

It's definitely not about blindly phraising a product without the room to hear any opposite info/opinion etc. If you want a section like that then better create a "Phraising Only Section". Then you can freely bowing to HTC there. :)
